The pool was very small and deep all over. We prefer a pool with a low part and a deep part. It is definetely not for small children.

very good breakfast, and overall a good hotel, though our double room on the top floor was small with a low ceiling and lacking privacy- the balcony on the upper floor is shared and access to the rooms involves walking past the door/windows of the rooms on that floor, making the price high for that quality of room

This family run hotel does everything to make guests welcome. They even made my husband coffee to take to the room at an early hour. Our only problem was recognizing the sign(small) in time to park across from the hotel when we arrived. It was hard to see as we drove up. The pink part of the hotel shown in the photo was above road level. A minor suggestion to point the sign downhill at driver level.

Pay for the upgrade to a Junior Suite, the views are stunning, you get a provate pool for the block of suites which is very quiet. Breakfast was OK, nothing to write home about. The restaurant and Pizza place just up the hill is superb, fantastic views.

My husband and I stayed at Hotel Elite for three nights in September. We had booked a Junior Suite in the newer annex and it was beautiful. The view from our balcony was breathtaking and the room was clean and spacious (bathroom HUGE for Italy) The Hotel is a bit of a walk (5 min. ) down to the town but it was not a problem at all given that this location provided us with privacy and quiet. The only thing we noticed and found a bit funny was the cleaning lady arriving at out roon before 8 am one morning and before 9 am on another. There were no "do not disturb" signs so we never knew when she would be arriving. They have a key so both times she just entered the room. Other than that we had a wonderful stay and would certainly stay again on our next trip to Limone.

We stayed for 5 days but wished we had booked for a bit longer. The hotel was very clean and staff very friendly and helpful nothing to much. The breakfast was first class a very good choice everyday whether you were early or late for breakfast. My wife has coeliac's and the staff were very helpful toasting here bread for here eveyday we only had to ask once and they were there eveyday to collect it from her, we never once had to remind them it was automatically returned to her hot. The rooms were cleaned daily and the towels change every day. We arrived late on the Monday and went to the tourist information centre to findout where the hotel was, were they phoned the hotel to our surprise someone from the hotel (Devin) came and collected us in the car and took us to the hotel pointing out the short cut down to the main road.

We stayed for ten nights at Villa Elite in a junior suite, which was in a new building just a short stroll away from the main hotel. Upon arrival, the hotel manager walked us to our room and led us straight to the wonderful view from our balcony-breathtaking! The building had it's own private pool with pleanty of sun loungers and parasols, and there were never more than ten or so people at any one time. Staff from the hotel visited to take drinks and snack orders and were always pleasant.Feeling quite ashamed that we had not learnt more of the italian language before our visit, we managed to get by (the staff speak limited english as the majority of guests seemed to be German or italian). There was a good selection at breakfast, and always service with a smile! The rooms were cleaned each morning and fresh towels provided. The hotel is a ten to fifteen minute walk into the main town, but this suited us as we liked the quiet location. The hotel is probably most suited to couples. The manager recomended authentic Italian restaurants nearby and were were very happy with his suggestions. It does mention on the website that the hotel provides a shuttle service to the airport. However this was not the case and we had to book a return taxi which was quite expensive. All in all, we had a wonderful holiday at Villa Elite and would definately recomend it to friend and family.

We were upgraded from the main hotel to a suite in the 'resort' 100m down the road. This was excellent with the room opening onto the lovely garden and pool.Bit of a walk down into the town-about 20 mins but well worth the effort with lots of shops, restaurants and lakeside views.I recommend this hotel and Limone as an excellent base for touring the northern end of the lake

When we booked this hotel we noticed the comments that said it was set on a hillside but we didn't realise until we got there how steep the walk to it really was. Being disabled my heart sunk with the thought of having to walk back to the hotel up to twice a day. I had no need to worry though because all of the wonderful staff there went out of their way to help us. Mrs Giraldi would drive us down each day and a quick phone call would let Davis know that we were ready to come back. Mainly catering for German holiday makers the hotel staff all speak German and the breakfasts are weighted towards them although there is plenty of choice for English visitors too. Both Anna and Roxanne speak perfectly good English and Davis is just about able to understand. The hotel itself is very well looked after and all the public areas are immaculate. Our third floor room (301) was right by the lift and had stunning views over the lake and the residential area below. The room itself was comfortable without being opulent and the only two problems we found were the lack of English channels on the TV - no CNN or BBC - and the dimly lit bathroom where you had to shower in semi darkness. Limone itself is very steep and pretty. It is also very busy but some of the shops can be a bit expensive as is the total cost of the ferries if you are planning to use these extensively. Because of my disability we would probably look towards the flatter Sirmione/Desanzano end of the lake the next time we go to Lake Garda. I would not recommend this hotel to other disabled holiday makers but if you do choose it I'm sure that the staff would help you just as much as they helped me.

This was my first holiday with new girlfriend and I wanted it to be special. I picked Limone Sul Garda because of the natural beauty of the area and the reviews highlighted Limone as one of the best locations on Lake Garda. They were most definitely right, the scenery was simple breath taking. The local transport (Ferry's) gave you access to most places on the lake, which are well worth seeing. The hotel was situated up the hillside but this gave you some of the best views around. We stayed in the new part apartments 200m from hotel which were lovely. The hotel has 3 nice places to eat and these a slightly further up the hill, but Davies will tell you where they are. One particular, the Dalco, it's food was gorgeous with a view match. The hotel is ideally suited to people who like to do some sight seeing but also relaxing by the pool. My girlfriend and I had a wonderful time. I will mention the area is popular with Germans but this was not a problem everyone spoke very good English in all the resorts.

The hotel is situated nicely up the hill with an excellent view over the mountains and the lake. The surroundings (pool area, small garden...) are very clean and well kept. The breakfast is a sensation, great choice, lovely prepared and fresh. The owners are indeed very helpful and charming, they speak German and English. The room itself was somewhat disappointing, not really spacious and already a bit used. The balcony was easily accessible from the pool area so we could not leave the door open at night (there is no additional window). The bed had only one large matress and one sheet for two people, which is something we in Austria are not used to. All on all it is a nice hotel with some very good features. I recommend it and would stay there again but next time pay the higher rate for a suite. The large suites are in a newly built house 100 m down the road which looks really great and stylish.

We had an excellent stay at the Villa Elite, the breakfast was exceptionally good with a lot of choice. The hotel owner gave us some good recommendations for eating one of the best is the pizzeria just across the road. The hotel is quite a distance and up a steep hill from the center. Having a car is better but you need to pay for parking anywhere near the the center. Parking at the hotel is OK but could be better if they put some lines in the parking area(eg room for 7 but only 5 spaced out cars).Again if you plan to use the ferry you either have the walk or parking costs as the ferry terminal is right in the center. The hotel is a good base for exploring the area by car we liked RIVA, and the breath taking views from the mountains behind Limone. The hotel pool is also very nice big enough to get some excersize or cool down and they server drinks and snacks.

We enjoyed a thoroughly good holiday at Villa Elite.Lake Garda is stunning. Accommodation, food, service all very good.Location fine, despite being 10 - 15 minutes walk from Limone centre. Our lack of Italian was a bit of a problem as hotel staff did not generally speak English ( not uncommon in Italy, whers German more of a second language), but we soon learnt enough.

I travelled with my wife for a weekend break. Overall - a great small hotel with newly built suites and great views across the lake. Certainly much more like a 4-star experience than the 3-stars advertised. We were really lucky that the hotel had opened a new building just before our stay. We booked an Elite Suite with a view of the lake. The view was great and the suite had a lovely balcony. The room was spacious with a 4-poster bed. The fittings were all of a high standard and the bathroom included a whirlpool bath. Certainly the reality was much better than the photos on the website which showed only the older style suites in the main hotel building. When I get some time, I'll upload some of the photos I took. Outside the building, there was a nice lawned area and a swimming pool reserved only for the people in the suites. Most days we were the only people by the pool, so it felt like a private villa. A waiter came round every hour to take the drinks order, but you can also call the reception if you want them to bring anything. The only downsides were that the hotel serves only breakfast (but a very nice breakfast), but it's not very far to walk into the town where there are plenty of restaurants. However, the walk down is steep in some parts, so people with walking difficulties should probably stay closer to the centre. Also, they spoke only a little English, because most of their customers are German or French speaking. Still, we didn't really find any situation where it was a big problem. The new building is about 100 metres from the main hotel, so you have to walk there for breakfast and it takes a little longer for the waiter to bring your Gin & Tonics to the pool in the afternoon, but it's really not a big problem. Also, there's a 2nd new building being built next door, but we really didn't notice the building work much and I'm sure it'll be finished soon.

Our room was on the third floor - apparently the nicest rooms - it had a phantatsic view across the lake and Limone! Unfortunately, the room was very small and the balcony in front was was a public terrace which meant you couldn't leave the door open at night. Also, the room was very noisy, we could hear every single word spoken next door. But the location is great - up the hill but within 10 minutes walking distance from Limone centre and very very nice service! And it is very nice to sit on the terrace in front of the room and enjoy the scenery!!

We enjoyed a three-day weekend at Villa Elite which met and exceeded our expectations. It turned out to be the perfect place to rest and relax while also visiting Limone and other areas on Lake Garda. Stunning scenery of the lakes and mountains from our Junior Suite which was recently built in a newer section located a short distance from the reception area. Everything was clean and the swimming pool was a joy to return to after returning from sightseeing excursions. This family run Villa truely made us think we were checking into someone's home rather than a hotel. A warm welcome and subsequent conversations with Davis and "Mamma" were a most personal touch of hospitality. The employee staff was also qualified and accomodating to our needs. The breakfast was plentyful and the limited area restaurants were good. A walk down to Limone center was about 10-15 minutes where other restaurants could be found. The up-hill walk back to Villa Elite helped the digestive process after big Italian meals. I recommend this location with hesitation as I might find difficulty when I try to book a room next year. You won't be disappointed with a stay at Villa Elite.

We had a completely wonderful time in this hotel. Although situated up faily steep hill and quite a walk from the centre of Limone, I wouldn't have stayed anywhere else! The staff were really friendly but struggled to believe we were english and insisted on trying to talk to us in German (probably because we were trying to speak Italian!!!!). Being english, we were in the minority, but this was not a problem in any way. The hotel was a lovely place to stay and with staggering views of the lake and mountains- our balcony was beautiful! My Husband and I stayed in this Villa Elite for 1 week in Sept 05. We found the family who owned the Villa Elite very friendly and helpful. The room we had over looked the Lake which was spectacular. The actual room was a good size and very clean, the bed was really comfortable as well which you don't normally get. Breakfast was served between 8 and 10 which suited us just right as it meant you could have a bit of a lay in if you needed it. The breakfast it's self had plenty of choice, rolls, meat, cheese, cereal, fresh fruit etc. We will be returning there for future holidays.

the quality of accommodation offered was as we had hoped, resonably simple but spacious rooms. not many of the hotel staff spoke english which could be a problem for some people but if viewed as part of the charm of the place you can get round this. the location of the hotel is quite a way up a hill from the centre of town although this does seem to be the case with most hotels in limone and helps work of the inevitable over indulgence in pizza and tiramasu! I would be happy to recommend this hotel to anyone providing that they are ok with the points mentioned above.

Mama Graciella, Davis and Katia were the salvation of our honeymoon! After a long train ride and bus ride from Torino, Davis answered the phone and said someone would be right down to get us.We were waiting at the bus stop for about five minutes and a car came to get us. Davis came right out and took our bags, with a smile on his face. the hotel was lovely! Very clean, very nice, very classy! Davis took us up to our room and we had a nice, big room ...With an incredible view of Monte Baldo, across the lake.. .Needless to say, we were very happy!Big bathroom, nice bed, linen sheets(pressed)....QUIET! Mama Graciella was there and so friendly and professional! Everything has to be "just so".. .Katia came in later and spoke to us like old friends! After the place we stayed in Paris, this was heaven! Olive tress everywhere, and orange trees...Mama has flowers everywhere, because she likes flowers...The hotel is better than the pictures show it to be!The breakfast is plentiful and varied.. From meats, to hard boiled eggs, to yogurt and granola...rolls and croissants and jam...Good coffee...Espresso, if you want it...Davis and mama are there to greet you with a smile...beautiful linens on the tables as well...light and sun shining in...Birds singing... We made such a connection with the Girardi family, that when we left and went to Cinque Terra...It was such a "let down".(Riomaggiore)..and the place we had reserved was such a disappointment, that we only spent one night! We both said "lets go back to Villa Elite!" The next day,I called the hotel. Mama answered and recognized my voice...I asked if she had a room for us and she said ""Si si!" we spent all day on the train and bus getting back...and we stayed for seven more days!! Limone is beautiful and you can take the boats all over the Lake.. Restaurants are good and local wine is great!! You can walk to everything in Limone. The Girardi family are the epitome of graciousness !.We will DEFINITELY go back t

From the time we arrived we were made to feel very welcome the hotel was all that it promised to be. The hotel, the surroundings the views from the swimming pool and terrace were just splendid. We had a lovely time in Limone and would recommend this hotel without reservation :-)
