Hotel La Limonaia - Limone sul Garda

Very nice view from the hotel room. The rooms are not well "sound isolated" so if you have noicy neighbours you might be disturbed. Friendly staff but they always started speaking German to us allthough we are not Germans and my wife speaks Italian. The food buffet in general was bad, but on the other hand fairly cheap and you can always eat dinner in Limonaia center. Good base for making day trips and if you don't want to use the shuttle bus to get to Limonaia, you can have a nice walk but it is fairly long and up and down hill.

I STAYED IN LIMONAIA HOTEL BECAUSE I HAD TO GO TO THE FAIR IN RIVA DEL GARDA.I KNEW THERE IS 11 KM DISTANCE BETWEEN LIMONAIA AND RIVA DEL GARDA.BUT I DID NOT KNOW THE PUBLIC TRANPORTATION IS POOR.ANYWAY, ALL THE HOTEL STAFFS WERE VERY FRIENDLY AND THEY DO ALL THEIR EFFORTS TO HELP YOU ESPECIALLY IN THE RECEPTION.IN THE RESTURANT, ALL THE WAITRESSES AND WAITERS ARE KIND AND NICE.BEING THE HOTEL ON THE TOP OF THE CLIFF,COMING BACK FROM THE MAIN ROAD BY WALKING IS DIFFICULT.BUT FOR GUESTS WITH THEIR OWN TRANSPORT THE HOTEL IS GOOD.

We were very pleased with our room 712, it slept 3 people and had a fantastic view over the lake. We only stayed one night as we were travelling around the lake so I cant give a proper experience of the hotel. The staff were very helpful and the buffet style breakfast and dinner were excellent. It is situated on the hillside but there is a shuttle service to and from the hotel into town. There is a path you can walk along as well. Overall a very short but pleasent stay.

Not a hotel, a place to absorb big groups ; too large and not convenient ; lack of genuine hospitality. Importance is obviously money, not pleasure of guests Some rooms should not be available. Too noisy Only positive element : beautiful view on the lake

Hotel Limonaia is situated on a slope overlooking Lake Garda and within walking distance from Limone Sul Garda. The view is excellent. No reviews were available before we left, so we decided to be the first. This hotel is cheap by Italian standards. A double room including breakfast and parking costs 80 Euros. It seems to cater mostly for tourists who come by bus. The majority of the visitors are from Germany and Britain. The Pros: Cheap, excellent location, most rooms have a lake view, the rooms are basic but sufficient in size and equipment. The flowers in the garden are beautiful, they have a fitness centre and pool. The Pizzeria-Bar overlooks the lake and Limone Sul Garda. Lovely by night too! The staff is wonderful, friendly, helpful, speak many languages, seem to enjoy humane working hours, which speaks for the owner of the hotel. The Cons: The walls are so thin that, unless you are a very early bird, you are not going to enjoy sleeping there. Noise starts at 06:00am, cleaning lady barges into your room at 09::00am already (we were still in bed and didn't have to check out that day). Checkout is generally by 10:00am! The food in the Pizzeria is awful, don't eat there. The drinks are good though. Breakfast consist of a buffet, the quality is horrid. Parking is a huge problem, when most rooms are full there is simply no place to leave your car. The manager yelled at us (!) for enquiring what to do with our car after she wanted it removed for a tour bus which also needed parking.

There was no heating though it was cold in the rooms(in April). Noisy customers above us disturbed us. The staff wasn't very friendly or helpful.
