Hotel is cheap because it is not a good hotel; it needs a serious renovation, but remember -- you get what you pay for. Auchan is near-by you can buy good vine there. You can keep white vine in the hotel refrigerator. there are NO hair-dryers in the room.

It was quite difficult to find the hotel place by car. Room not very quiet because too near from the entrance. To much noise early in the morning is a bit shame. bathroom smells a little. Welcoming and and employees were very good !

L'hôtel à Villeneuve d'Ascq ne m'a pas satisfait : l'état général des chambre était plus que limite niveau hygiène (moquette sale, brulures de cigarettes, murs tachés, mauvaise insonorisation, fenêtre non-étanche, j'en passe...). De plus, le prix de 40€/nuit m'a paru très élevé compte tenu de l'état de la chambre.

We had a horrendous time finding this hotel. It is the middle of a system of expressways near the Belgian border. I swear we crossed the border once or twice looking for it. It is a suburb of Lille, not in the city itself and quite far from the train station (which was very difficult to get to from there). The hotel itself was in need of a lot of TLC. While the beds were clean and comfortable, the halls and doorways were scuffed and had many marks and gouges. The bathroom was very small, with a tiny shower with a door that did not close completely. The towel bar was falling off the wall. The beds were so close together, you could not easily step between them. The breakfast was good, but we felt we were disturbing the hostess when we asked for a bowl for our cereal. I would not stay here again, even though it is inexpensive.

The only nasty thing during this pleasant stay was when the receptionist made me understand he was happy with me but not with "young men wearing caps"who,in his own words "make rooms dirty",making clear he was discriminating customers.
