We left after one night because the St Maurice is one of the worst hotels I have stayed in: dirty, run down, noise from elevator and other guest and staff who were too busy talking to open the door on a cold and wet day.

Ideal location close to railway stations and town centre. Welcoming and helpful staff. Pleasant rooms. Godd value for money.

As others have also mentioned we felt we were a little conned into taking breakfast at the hotel, its not included in the quoted price and when we came down in the morning to go out for the day we were informed by the owner that our breakfast was ready. We said we didn't order a breakfast to which he replied i told you the time of breakfast last night, which is true but at no point did we actually order it! So if you stay at the hotel make it quite clear when you check in whether you want the breakfast. Other than the breakfast incident the hotel is well located, very clean and tidy and good for the price.

Quiet, pleasant location, yet very close to main rail stations and to the tourist heart of the city. Straightforward, efficient service. Recommended.
