Very goog hotel would use again, righ in the centre of Lille.Breakfast 18 eur very ex

Such a small bathroom!! Never in my life saw anything like that. Hope it is only that particular room. Apart from that, very well.

You pay for the name,the bathroom is verry poor ,and the room is dated. but it is in the heart of the centre en that makes the difference.

Carlton Lille - fantastic location, close to Opera House and corner of main square. staff were extremely attentive to our needs. Exterior of hotel is being refurbished - the rooms could do with some refurbishment too as bit shabby but they were clean and otherwise comfortable. We have stayed here twice and will undoubtedly stay here again. only complaint - no in-room safe; otherwise, everything we could have wished for. Staff especially were charming and made our stay for us. We will definitely be returning. Spa areas were great and facilities were lovely after a long day walking the cobbles of Lille.

Very nice hotel, not too far to walk to from Lille Europe station. Ideally situated by Place du Theatre and a short walk to the Christmas Market in Place Rihour. Hotel breakfast seemed expensive so we went to Paul's opposite which was very good.

The price did not indicate that the Summer-Price was B & B. But before I ordered, I saw the same price at booking.com incl. breakfast. When I arrived at the hotel I was told that the price was without breakfast. But I had a copy from booking.com's page as the confirmation from venere.com did not mention the breakfast. We had a nice breakfast at the hotel - no problems after that!!

Having been warned via Venere comments that breakfast was extra and not all that good, we were happy to have a light breakfast outside. That makes the room quite expensive in absolute terms, but it was a really good start to holiday, and luxurious. Loved the bathrobes! Amazingly quiet, considering central location, and only the air-con was noisy. So much of Lille is accessible on foot from the hotel. Admittedly it could have been any country, but then again, prime-site luxury hotels are not there to be full of local charm.

Absolutely brilliant location! Rooms OK although looking a bit tired. The hot breakfast (ie eggs, sausage, bacon) a bit poor but didn't matter because breakfast at Pauls over the road was MUCH better! Great location - great city!

I do not think this hotel deserves its 4 star status. The finishings in our room needed some attention (part of the tap of the washbasin missing, paint peeling off the ceiling) and the cupboard housing the mini bar was badly chipped. I would have expected a safe in our room - certainly other 4 star hotels we stayed in in France had safes for one's valuables.

Grand old hotel which, despite being in a great position in the centre of Lille, was quiet and very comfortable. Very helpful and generous staff. Busy and beautiful city centre and we loved the art museum with a spectacular exhibition basement level. Worth a visit.

Really good hotel but spoilt by what seemed almost a rip off for breakfast. Breakfast vouchers in room seemed to indicate that breakfast was included. This was not the case and the actual continental breakfast was was of the worst ever and expensive

A very central location. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Only slight criticism, is that breakfast could have had a bit more variety. We will stay there if we go to Lille again.

Hotel is well located, near train station, in the town centre, with many restaurants nearby. I recommend this hotel

Thoroughly enjoyed the stay, would use this hotel next time I visit Lille.
