Best Hôtel - Lille

As part of a short French break and to visit the Lille Sunday market. We have been to Lille once before but not to that area, which I have to say was rather run-down but, nevertheless, interesting. we found a local restaurant about 10 mins walk from the hotel.

This hotel was a little out of the centre and the area was a little less than inviting I would certainly be warry of returning to this location late at night. However it was well placed for the market. The breakfast was okay although we had to ask for food to be replaced once trays were empty.

Great location, next to Metro, quiet; very close to great market. 5 mins walk to busy restaurant area. Good local brasserie & boulangerie & cafes for breakfast. V good value for money.

This hotel is fine, clean, easy enough to find and comfortable enough. Basically its what you'd expect out of a basic hotel. Something we were very greatful for. You have the option of parking the car in the hotels secured garage for 6 euros. If you want a car in the morning, then please do. Tho take no notice of the map that the hotel will give you as it took us 30 minutes to actually find the street this garage was on using GPS rather than that map! But we got it. The area this hotel is in is a dump to say the lease. Graffiti everywhere on the side of vans, cars, buildings even on the paths. Its disgusting. The restuarant was closed in the hotel so we had to go out and find food. After a brief liason with the local gang of kids which shook us up, it was sandwiches from an off license back to the hotel room and the next morning we were straight outta there. What a god awful place this hotel was in. It is near a tube station to explore more of lille with but the surface was so bad we darent explore underground. The hotel itself is fine, the area is a place to avoid.

Good value for money within walking distance of center rooms on the small side but very clean. the bathroom was immacculate beds comfortable

A reasonable priced hotel that offers good value for money for a short break holiday Our only complaint was that the previos occupiers had been smokers and the room had not been ventilated enough.

The hotel was what I expected, very clean, basic. But the area was very run-down, with graffiti on walls of local buildings. The first room we were allocated looked out onto the entrance to the metro, which was within spitting distance. It was very noisy, especially as it was a hang-out for students in the early evening, druggies and drunks at night. I asked for a quieter room and was given one without any problem. The staff were always helpful. Unfortunately, when I needed some assistance at 9.30p.m, there was no-one there, they had gone home early,locking away the chairs and table in the reception area. What would happen in an emergency? Worrying.
