Hotel Florida Lerici - Lerici

We traveled in Italy for two months and this is the best hotel we stayed in. It is centrally located, and our room for three adults turned out to be two rooms with an adjoining bath-perfect! We stayed for eight nights, and wanted to stay longer but our travel plans required that we move on.

Everything perfect except the attitude of night clerk who was rude when I asked for a second key... However, the key personnel was more than helpful, the room recently renovated and clean and the breakfast was good. We would return to that hotel.

The meals we had nearby were fabulous. The food, the people were superb! The hotel recommended a couple of locations to eat at and both were excellent. We reserved 2 rooms due to a large family. Both rooms were extremely clean and well maintained as well as comfortable. I felt completely safe having our 3 older children with us.

This is my second stay at Hotel Florida, I wouldn't consider staying anywhere else. Rooms are bright, clean and well appointed. The view from the balcony is exceptional, all the staff are friendly and very helpful. I love this hotel!

Regular 3 star hotel, therefore too expensive for what it actually is. Anyhow, rooms are clean and quite confortable, breakfast was also good and the position is perfect!

We were there a week and the owners were very pleasant to us, my daughter hd been there the year before. the room was very nice and they only served breakfast. we walked totown and back for dinner. hardly used the car.

The hotel surroundings is very nice with seaside and beach, near Lericci. The room was too small, the price too high, the common spaces of the hotel are very small. I think it agrees for a short-term stay.

My husband and I were deeply dissapointed with the hotel's accommodations. There was also loud music outside our window until 2 in the morning.

Pleasant hotel, good service, convenient to local attractions and beaches

This hotel is wonderful, and in a perfect location to enjoy the beach and view. The staff is friendly and helpful. Our room was very nice and had a huge balcony overlooking the Bay of Poets.

Hotel is quite modest, furniture is quite boring but comfortable, location is very nice, sea view from balcony is marvelous, actually place was quite noisy during night time because it was Saturday night and there was night dance party on the beach opposite hotel but as I was very tired it didn't bother me. There was awful instant coffee for breakfast but when I asked for espresso I received very nice one. So everything was very good except that hotel definitely is overpriced - 160 Eur in June, I suppose because of location.

Hotel Florida Lerici is in a perfect location to visit the Cinque Terre. It is excellently located. The lobby is beautifully appointed with free internet. The rooms are sparse, but very clean with a good size bathroom. The breakfast is excellent with a wide variety of food choices. We would definitely stay here again.

Could not have had a better room - virtually panoramic with a wonderful balcony facing the ocean. Staff very kind and helpful. Rooms and facility virtually spotless. Loved our stay but wonder why the local officials allow children to shoot off firecrackers all day long along beach. That was the only negative.

It is a much better option than staying in the villages of Cinque Terre as accommodation is comfortable. Balconies have stunning views over the bay. Staff spoke English well and were very helpful. Breakfast good.

My stay was wonderful! The view overlooking the Gulf was AMAZING. The room was what you expect in europe. The staff was sooo friendly. They even offered to drop us off where the boat leaves from for Cinque Terre. (its only a 5-10 min walk from the hotel) The Breakfast buffett was the best we had the whole trip in Italy. Would definitely stay here again.

The hotel is in an ideal location - right on the waterfront with an incredible view and very quiet location. It is close to the La Spezia Train Station that takes you to any of the Cinque Terre villages (it's only a 10-12 minute drive - just make sure you get directions before heading out). The staff was very polite and helpful, and the rooms were surprisingly spacious and clean. I would definitely recommend this hotel to everyone and we would stay here again.

We selected this hotel based on reviews. Lerici is a beautiful little beach/fishing village. It's a bit out of the way if you are using it as a base for Cinque Terre, as we were, and without a car. We had to take a bus to La Spezia for our trips. This worked out ok, but did limit us from being more adventurous. The town has excellent seafood restaurants recommended by the hotel. Our room was very basic, actually disappointingly so. It's not a place you want to relax in if the weather turns bad, like it did for us. You can hear the ocean waves clearly with the windows open, and it's okay for sleeping. The bathroom is also small, and the shower ridiculously so. I'm 6 feet tall and could barely raise my arms it was so tight. The lobby is comfortable with sofas and a little bar and free internet terminal though the lobby can get busy. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a basic continental, and adequate. For any other meals, you do have a 10-15 minute walk along the beautiful beaches to get to Lerici, but if it's raining, it's a long walk. Overall summary is the location is beautiful and out of the way and the room is uninspiring. You don't get everything in this one.

Our stay at Hotel Florida Lerici was a pleasure from begining to end. It is beautifully located right across a small street from the beach. We had water views from our balcony. The hotel was very clean and comfortable. The service was very friendly, helpful and efficient. Breakfast was great with a good selection of fruit, breads, cereals, yugurts and cold cuts. I would stay here again and would recommend this hotel to friends and family.

The location of the Hotel Lerici was excellent. A beautiful beach at the door step and a terrific view of the Lerici harbour and sunsets from our balcony. Staff was friendly and very helpful. Take the ferry to Portovenere for the day -- well worth it.

We went with out 2 grown up sons and had 2 double rooms on the 4th floor overlooking the sea - fantastic. The rooms were clean and very comfortable. We could even see the sea from the bed. The location was very good a 10min (max) stroll along the promenade to the main town. Plenty of choice for eating out. Highly recommend it.

The hotel is overlooking the water and is very nice. I do recommend this hotel especially a room with a view.

There are many great things about this hotel but the best two have to be the beachfront location and the price for what you get. First, the location. The hotel really is right on the beach and only a 10 minute walk along the beach in either direction brings you to relatively unspoiled towns where you can get a wonderful dinner overlooking the water. This was our first stop on a 10 day trip and even though we only had 3 nights here, it put us into instant vacation mode! The hotel was very clean and the breakfast was quite substantial. The room decor is a little bit older, but not shabby. Definitely get a room with a beachfront balcony. We paid 145 euro per night in June. Parking was easy and free with the pass from hotel reception. Make sure you walk along the beach past San Terenzo and see the cliffs dug out by the water - very romantic!

Hotel was slightly more sparten than anticipated but the friendliness and surrounding more than made up for it. Overall stay exceeded our expectations. Owners and family were a definate plus to our experience. Wonderfully helpful, included breakfast was more than we expected. Rooms were a little small but clean and air conditioned. This was our first visit to Lerici and the location of this hotel was perfect, right on the beach and close to all amenities.

Florida Lerici was one of the best stops on our tour of Italy. The location is great - we loved being right on the beach! Sitting on our balcony watching sunset across the Gulf of Poets was lovely. Your breakfast offerings were by far the best of any hotel we stayed in. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. We were three mature American couples. We all got great rooms and had a very good time. Bus access to the train for Cinque Terre was very convenient. The hotel was just far enough away from the noisy (but fun) center of Lerici - it made a nice walk before dinner.

I had no hot water the first night and next morning. The night manager refused to do anything about it so I had to go to my sons' room 2 floors below mine to take a shower. I was moved to another room the next day as they were unable to get any hot water in the first room. They shouldn't put paying guests in rooms without any hot water! I could never reccommend this hotel to anyone but a polar bear!

The lack of a dining room meant one had a to walk about 1/4 of an hour each time one wanted to eat. Lerici itself is a delightful town and the trip by boat to the Cinque Terre by boat was wonderful

My husband and I were taking a long awaited vacation after his surgery and the trip was everything for which we had hoped. We love the water and hiking and this hotel was in the perfect spot for those two activities. It was well located for numerous day trips as well.

The owners and staff were so friendly and helpful. It was a great location---beautiful beach. Only thing, is that we couldn't have a front, ocean facing room with balcony because they were under construction. We did have a side balcony, which was nice. It was noisy during the day because of the reconstruction going on, and this should probably be noted so people know what to expect. But the breakfast was very nice, and the owners, super. They gave us a terrific recommendation for a restaurant that had superb fish! We really loved the village and had alot of fun here!

Nice stay. The room was very clean, but with poor furnitures. The hotel is very well located, silent and the staff is extremely professional and friendly. Good price for value. Very good breakfast.

Ciao siamo andati per una notte, (due giorni). Lo staff dell'albergo e' stato gentilissimo! Le camere erano pulite e ampie. L'unico svantaggio e' che vi erano lavori in corso su tutta la facciata est e sul pezzo di passeggiata che arriva li'! Un bel po' di rumore ma certo l'albergo non ne poteva molto.. Comunque sono stati gentili.

The staff at Florida Lerici is very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The location is attractive and convenient to many interesting destinations, though if you have no car, the bus ride to the train station is rather long and you have to like to walk, as we did, for dinner in town. The town itself is only moderately interesting and the restaurants were not spectacularly good, but the appeal of the water, the view of the castle, and the relatively tourist-free ambience, especially when we were there in the fall, make it a very good base for exploring the region. I especially appreciated the free wireless connectivity in the room

This hotel was as it was presented. The family own hotel was really a very pleasant surprise not only is the area very beautiful but it location on the coast is very desirabe. The room was very nice and the view from the room was magnificent. Staff was very helpful!

My friend and I were so very pleased with your hotel, the room was beautiful and the hotel is in a perfectly beautiful setting. We found the staff to be outstanding with their service and all were so friendly and nice. The breakfast in the morning was also outstanding- the best we had in Italy! The hotel was nice and clean. However the people in the town of Lerice were not always kind. A group of teens booed us as we left one restaurant after staring at us throughout the meal. In addition, my friend had a sweater ripped from her hand by a store owner and told not to touch the clothes. On the train to Chinque Terre, we were fined by a screaming train employee for not having a ticket with a validation stamp.

I lied when I rated the rooms as quiet - the sound of the waves breaking on the beach is pretty loud! This is a gem of an hotel in a gem of a town - Lerici. Don't hesitate to make this your base for a stay on the Italian Riviera. Supremo!

The Florida hotel was a good experience. The room was small for the three of us and the shower was tiny - you could barely move inside. The location is excellent. We had a great view from the balcony and enjoyed beautiful sunsets. I think you need to post more pictures on the web including the views to the beach and mountains. You can also advertise the beach that has sand instead of the pebbles you find in the region. It is an advantage.

Es un pequeño hotel familiar delicioso y con unas vistas realmente magníficas sobre la Bahía de los Poetas.Con una bonita playa , bien situado y con un personal amabilísimo.

The location of the hotel was excellent, by the sea, althought a 15 min walk from the center of Lerici. The room was quite small but very clean. We had a marvellous sea view from the balcony. The breakfast was very good, much better than we expected. The staff was very friendly. overall we enjoyed our stay and would stay in this hotel again.

After advising the hotel of airport delays, upon arriving the owners attempted to shoo us away. On another occassion a desk clerk repeated this action. Hospitality was lacking. The God send was a helpful daughter who assisted with calling for lost luggage and driving directions. The hotel staff needed more of this tpye of tourist assistance.

The room was a little small but it worked out because we were always on the beach! The place is beautiful and right on the beach! Great view and the people were so helpful!

The hotel is situated away from the main center of town, but we felt this was an advantage as we had a panoramic view of the castle, town, and sea full of sail boats from our bedroom and private balcony, well worth the 10 min. walk to the center of town. Another big plus was the hotel staff who were very friendly, helpful and welcoming. The breakfasts were more than adequate. The only downside is the size of the room, but open your windows, enjoy the view and the sounds of the seaside, and you will be happy with your choice.

This is our third time at the Florida and we still love it. The new renovations are very nice. The staff is also most accommodating and friendly

The hotel is located across the street from a beach, is clean and welcoming and has free parking outside the front door for a couple of cars. We drove over to the Cinque Terra both days which took about 45 minutes. The view of the castle and the town were very nice. The walk to town was also not that bad, however, don't even think about eating before 7pm, nothing is open. The room was very small and the price was higher than what we paid in downtown Florence for a much larger room.

The staff were very helpful and friendly. The room had a great view over the sea. It was a 10min walk into Lerici from the hotel. Would stay here again.

When I made my reservation, I requested a room with a "seaview room in the front". I received a reply guaranteeing me this type of room. If I could not have a front seaview room,I would have found another hotel. When I arrived, even though I showed them the email saying that my room would be a "seaview room in the front", they did not have any available. The room I received was about three rooms back with a slight seaview if you went out to the balcony and stretched your neck. I was very upset but they argued and said they did not have any available and did not know who promised me that. The next day, even though they said they would not do anything, they gave me a room with a slightly better view, but still not what I was promised. My friend who reserved a single room with a side seaview, had a very tiny room in the back with a very slight seaview. So if a view is important, you may not get it even though they promise it. The rooms in the back have slight seaviews from the balcony, even though they say that all rooms have a seaview (that is a stretch).

When we arrived in Hotel Florida Lerici, we were welcomed by the warmest of Italian families. Though the room could have been a little bigger, the view was magnificent and the balcony spacious. Breakfast was excelent and the service provided by the staf, who seem to be all in one way or an other related to each other, was outstanding. The hotel is only a 10 minute stroll away from the village centre, but when we indicated we prefrred a taxi or bus, the hotel owner drove us there in his own car! We've stayed in many 5-star de luxe hotels all over the world, but the service level provided at Florida, probably because of the personal input and spirit of the staff, we've never seen before. It exceeded all our expectations. They made us feel part of their family and we'll definitly be back!

Room small with an odd smell - quite a lot of noise during the day but quiet at night. A family sea-side holiday. Better private beach the other way to the one recomended.

This hotel is not actually in Lerici - it is a 15 min walk to Lerici. This isn't too bad but you cannot drive as there is a major parking issue in and around Lerici. You need a hotel car parking pass in order to park outside the hotel but you cannot get this until you have been to the hotel, but you canot park there... And when you do get it you may not park anywhere else. So your car is useless unless you want to leave the Lerici area (which is a nice middle class resort, but very crowded in July/August).

Excellent choice. If you want to stay on the Italian Riviera, have a nice beach yet be able to walk around little towns, this hotel is perfect. All rooms have balconies with one of the best views I have seen in a long time. Wonderful location, and nicest hotel in area.

Although I only stayed one night at the Florida Lerici hotel, it was definitely a nice stay and I hope to go back some time soon. The breakfast was the best part for me, and I recommend the hotel to all.

Pulitissimo e ordinato, ha camere arredate molto semplicemente. Ottima la vista sul mare e la vicinanza della spiaggia, bella posizione, unica nota negativa la rumorosità delle camere. Le pareti, evidentemente troppo sottili, trasmettono molto bene i rumori delle altre camere. Colazione a buffet poco varia ma abbastanza buona. Un consiglio: cenate alla Locanda del Sole Nero a S. Terenzo (ottima qualità, spesa modesta, pesce freschissimo) e pranzate al PIN BON a Pitelli (vista splendida, assai romantico! buon cibo ma più caro)

We enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Lerici very much. The town(just like the Riviera-complete with palm lined boulevards and blue beach umbrellas) and its beach are simply magnificent. The Hotel is situated directly across the street from the beach. All rooms have a view of the ocean and a balcony. Since we were 3 people we could only have a side view room, but do request oceanfront if you are 2 people. There is a gorgeous sundeck on the 5th floor that overlooks the ocean. Beach towels are provided. Breakfast is included and it is excellent. This is one place I hope to return to--it reminds you of Nice without the stones on the beach and the mobs of people all over.The hotel will direct you to the most wonderful restaurant in town.

The welcoming at the reception and the breakfast service was very heartly and extremely kindly. We enjoyed the very good breakfast, the phantastic view from the breakfastroom and from our balcony. It was so nice and wonderful, that we are sure to come back to this place and book again this hotel

Excellent property, excellent location, but the price is on the high side. it is, however, comparable in price to other lerici hotels. i would have stayed longer if the price was more reasonable.

Gorgeous view from balcony. Friendly staff and good breakfast. If you are looking to hear the sea from the open balcony door - it's for you! Street noise can be pretty strong and disturbing espesially during the night - but you are happy to pay this price to be right on the sea shore.

Very helpful front desk staff...beautiful hotel

We stayed at the florida Lerici while we waited to board a freighter for La Spezia to New York. The staff graciously allowed us to stay in the lobby, even making the computer available to us. we watched while our ship sailed past the windows to the port where we boarded her later. The staff was suberb.

Very nice staff...very respondent and helpful with our questions and needs. directions to beautiful sites and not snooty.

Great location facing the sea. Rooms are small but each has a balcony with a view of the water.

The hotel has an agreement with the nearest beach for low prices. After chek out they did not allow us leaving the car in the parking until sunday afternoon. It has been quite unkind.

Florida is well-run, and the breakfast provided is well up to 3* or better. the staff are very friendly and welcoming. the traffic levels outside cause noise, but this is consistent with the convenient location. all in all, a professionally-run hotel to be well recommended. languages facility a bonus.

The property was very well located on the edge of the busier part of Lerici. The staff was very attentive and helpful often going out of their way to provide explanations and suggestions. A great place.
