The bedroom Rm510 displayed torn and peeling wallpaper, damaged paintwork; the bed base was uncovered exposing an old damaged and torn base unit. The en-suite bathroom was worse, with stained tiles, damaged toilet seat and bath panel and a bath that required re-enamelling as it was worn and dirty looking. Do not be accommodated on the 5th Flr

The Mets rooms aren't big but are well furnished and spotless (large bathroom with bath). The lobby area was small & very busy with conferences. I felt it was a bit on the exoensive side for what was on offer. The staff seemed geared up for the business traveller & were unable to offer any information on places to see in Leeds or theatre & cinema listings!! The breakfast was poor at any price but at £14-95 is to be avoided.

I love this hotel and will stay again although I was dissappointed with the size of the single room. However, the bothroom was huge in comparison which helped. I have stayed in the past and will stay here again. I do think that the parking charges should be displayed with the registration as it is no longer free to park in the hotel lot. Only had the continental breakfast in the room which has no additional cost and it was lovely.

How to reach Hotel The Met

By car
Take junction 3 of the M624 or junction 44 of the M1 and follow signs for Central Leeds and railways station. At traffic signals keep left (signposted All Loop Traffic) then turn right on to King Street.

By train
There is a regular service from London's Kings Cross station, the North and Edinburgh. The hotel is just a short stroll from Leeds railway station.

Parking is not included in the price and costs £5.00 for a 1-5 hours period, £8.00 for 5-10 hours and £10.00 for a 10-24 hours period.
High speed Internet access in the rooms is not included in the price and costs £16.00 per 2 hours.
