Like anything in Le mont Saint Michel, with the exception of the Abbey, you pay premium for a just decent or poor service. In the case of this hotel, you pay premium for standard service. Our room had two excellent sights : One on the bay, one on the abbey. However, some items in our room were broken, bathroom was quite small and poorly decorated. I think you would except something better for this price, but again, it just like anything else in "Le mont saint michel" (where you can't eat anything decent for reasonable price).

Expensive, but a worth-it splurge to stay on Mont Saint Michel. Fabulous view from the room and even the bathroom. My only caution is the stairs -- 3 flights to the hotel, and two more to the room. If I'd had just an overnight bag it would have been no trouble, but the big rolling bag for my 2-week trip was a tough haul. Mont Saint Michel is so beautiful and quiet in the evening, when the tide cuts off the island.

The room and the bathroom were spacious and clean. The internet wi-fi didn't work nor in the room and at the reception. No one helped us with our luggage (and there were many steps to reach the room). The employees are not as competent as they should be. Anyway, the view from our room was great and the overall stay was good.

Although the room was simple and plain, it was comfortable and clean. The lady at the front desk was pleasant and welcoming. The number of stairs one is required to climb would be challenging to out-of-shape travellers with too much luggage. However, overall, I would stay there again.

The comfort suite (delux) room furnishings are similar to a nicer hostel. The customer is definitely paying for the location. =======

Pros;nice tidy room, quiet only when 90% of Japanese have left the hotel.Nice views if you can get it.Cons;Hotel in different levels so you'll have to carry your stuff and climb steps to another building.Rooms will probably be ready at around 4 pm and you'll have to make up the time going around the place until its ready.Windows were left open in the rain so the carpet was drenched in my room.I would'nt stay there again. Expect no understanding from reception, they seemed uninterested to clients.

It's obvious to say that location is superb, very near to the entrance gates to the Mont, s you don't have to walk more than three minutes from the hotels' parking area to the hotel main door. We had a very friendly and informative welcoming from ALL the staff. Our room was a bit too small but both charming and functional, very, very clean and comfortable. A bit noisy at night if you sleep with open windows (no air conditioning.)Huge bathroom with facilities. Lots of steps, no lift. We wouldn't recommend this hotel to elderly people or with some mobility problems. All in all, the whole Mont is stepped. Breakfast is offered in a restaurant some metres ahead. Staff not as welcoming and breakfast not very abundant. One quick note: if you get out at night make sure that you know how to get the hotel door opened, we rung the bell several times, the lights were on but nobody made it. We asked at the Restaurant at floor level and called to a guy that quickly came and opened. Apart from these tiny issues, we sincerely enjoyed the stay and we'd openly recommend this hotel to familiy and friends and will be our first choice for next visits.

First time stay. wonderful location on the mont , room fairly basic but clean and to be honest we didnt spend much time in the room. Helpful staff. Hotel situated up some fairly steep steps and we didnt manage to track down where breakfast was but there are plenty of restaurants close by.

Very nice little hotel in a fabulous location. Price was very good for the accomodations offered. Only problem was partying in the streets until 2AM and then the deliveries and garbage collectors at 5AM but then its not quite a hotel problem...

One can't help but be completely blown away by the surroundings. It is truly a magical experience to stay on the island and see it at night as well in the day. The room was clean and the staff was accomodating. We would recommend the hotel to friends and family.

Very nice. Staffs are friendly and kind. They allowed us to check in early and kept the lagguage on the check out day. Not good for old folks since there are so many stairs to take up to your room!

Our bathroom had just been painted and there was a strong odor in the room, making us feel sick. We couldn't take a bath because the fumes were so bad, we had to keep the bathroom door shut with the windows open. There were no screens on the windows, making it easy for bugs to enter the room. There were bats flying around and we were afraid one would get in our room, so we couldn't open the windows enough.-

I stayed at Les Terrasses Poulard because the price was within my budget. I booked two rooms at 73 euros each, but when I checked out, the hotel tried to charge me twice the price of the room, 146 euros for each room. The receptionist couldn't find the confirmation e-mail and finally charged me for the price I asked but blamed Venere for not specifying that this was the price per person and not per room. The hotel is excellent but my suggestion is to make sure you bring a confirmation e-mail and check the final price with them directly.

Although the hotel is shown as being located near the front gate of Mont Saint Michel, the rooms are actually up a vast number of stairs. Our room was also at the very top of the hotel--up another four flights of stairs. It had a great view but for my 74-year-old husband it was agony climbing those stairs. An of this indication would have been helpful

AS a 3 star hotel it is overrrated as far as cleanliness (dusty), welcoming and overall services are taken into account. It would hardly rate as a one star hotel had it not been in Le Mont Saint Michel. Prettey disappointing
