If going back to St-Michel, I would prefer to stay in a more characteristic hotel, even in a small town close to St-Michel and not in St. Michel itself.. Once you have visited the cathedral and the the main street that leads you to it, you leave the city. There is little else to do there. Therefore, I repeat, I would deffinetly choose a different kind of place rather than this not so nice not so new not even with a nice view hotel. While visiting many of these small cities in Normandy and Brittany I found many cute, small family hotels... Le Saint Aubert is unexpensive but it is a little bit depressing, even for a one night stay. May I say the bed was confortable and clean.

Toilet leaked. Paper roll holder kept falling apart. One lamp didn't work. Back door to hotel would not stay closed. No one at the desk after 6 PM.

This is a "get what you pay for" spartan motel on the main road into town: decent price in popular tourist area for it's l-mile, easy proximity to Mont-Saint-Michel. No on-site Management to greet you--read instruction on door, cross parking lot to adjacent restaurant to "check in" and get key to enter motel and your room. Tip: Drive across causeway to MSM early AM to secure limited FREE parking; otherwise 16 euros for paid pking lot.

This was a rather tired hotel but in a splendid location. It is at the land end of the causeway to Le Saint Saint Michel so it is much cheaper than trying to stay ON the Mount. Curiously, it seems to have no staff except a cleaner. A note at reception advises one to go to the adjacent restaurant for room number, keys etc. It seems rather odd. The restaurant was understaffed as well. And the classic advertised regional (Mere Poularde-style) omelette was a soft tasteless puff-ball; not nearly as good as those I make at home! :) Cheap and adequate, unless less you're looking for style and elegance rather than just a bed. Well placed at a junction to suit both our arrival from St Malo and equally for our exit to Bayaux.

when we arrived it seemed that there was no booking for us. the hotel gave us a room anyway, as they still free rooms. nevertheless, we were given a room with twin beds and not a double bed as we required and the lady at the reception was not very corteous to us.

2 Adults with 3 children under 5. Had a great stay with friendly reception staff and ate at the restaurant which was great too. This was a perfect stopover after a ferry from teh UK and before a long day driving. Check out one (or all) of the nearby biscuit factory shops and road-side stalls for excellent local fayre.

It is not a luxury hotel, but for the price we paid, It was really good. I would repeat. The best is location, because you can go by foot to mont saint michel just in 20-25 minutes, or in 3 minutes by car. The motorway is very near too, so you can go to Saint Malo or to Fougeres(I recommend it). And there is a supermarket (champion) near too. The parking is really big, and there is no noise at night. Our bedroom was a little old, but the beds and pillow were confortable. The worst, the restaurant, it is really expensive and the food is very bad.

This hotel more than met my expectations. It is in a great location, only about 1.5Km to Mt. St. Michel. Large parking lot in front of the hotel which was convenient. We were in a triple room and had plenty of room. The room was clean and secure. The reception is in the adjacent restaurant, not in the hotel, but this wasn't a problem. We were only there as tourists and didn't spend much time in the room, so it was perfect for us. I would stay there again and highly recommend it.

The hotel is very convenient for visiting Le-Mont-Saint Michel, but when we reached there we found that it was one of a cluster of hotels in that area. We arrived late (10pm) and the front desk was closed, so we had to walk to a nearby restaurant to pick up our key. Similarly when we checked out the desk was closed and so we just dropped off the key. Not really an issue, but we never saw any hotel staff. The room itself was fine, it was clean and the bed was good. The only complaint would be that they had recently painted the room and the residual smell was very strong. If you're coming from elsewhere in France for a one night pit-stop before visiting Le-Mont-Saint-Michel this place is a reasonable 2-star hotel.

The hotel itself is not bad, the room is clean and quiet, the space is enough for 2 people. The bad side is the fact that they don¡t have enough people to manage both the restaurant and the hotel. The front desk was literally at the Restaurant. Our other piece of advise would be not to eat at the hotel restaurant, it was an expensive meal and the food was horrible, somebody recommended us to have the lamb because it was the speciallity of the place but it was not good at all.

I was a really nice hotel if you compare it with the price we paid and also I think the location was great because is only a few minutes walking from mt. saint michel

If you get there and no one is at the reception desk don't panic; there is a restaurant which shares the parking lot where they will give you your key. Also they don't speak a lot of English and we didn't get it at first that the key has a four digit number taped on it. It is the code for the keypad to get into the hotel after hours. Also, the restaraunt accross the street is lovely. Our waiter was so nice and spoke good English. Bring a rain apparatus if you are walking to the abby. I found that even though it wasn't raining on the mainland and looked clear the weather changes quickly and when you are a mile from either side in the rain...well not so good. Reward in the end was well worth it. Finally, the cleaning lady at the hotel let us stash our bags there after checkout while we were touring and waiting for the bus. Know that this is not a fancy hotel...it is a clean, comfortable, quiet place for little $$$.

Although, basic accommodation it was clean and spacious. Bathroom was very clean. The reception staff weren't particularly friendly and helpful. However, very convenient. The bus for Mont St Michel stops within 50m and also the bus that leaves for Rennes/St Malo. There is a supermarket close by and the walk to the Mont takes about 15-20 minutes. Definitely value for money.

It is a good hotel, nevertheless our neighbours came around midnight in their room and let the doors shut on their own what made such a noice. Only a few hours of real rest afterwards. But we were unfortunate and about the hotel and personnel, we can really recommend them !

a good place to be,just near the Mont StMichel. A général pity for the place of all these hostels : just parkings... I think the place (countryside & Mont St Michel) can have a better place, more beautiful But the hôtel is OK

We chose this hotel because of its proximity to Mt. St. Michel - only 2 km. We have no complaints about the hotel, but it was more like an American roadside hotel than the other smaller and unique hotels we stayed in during the rest of our stay in France.

I was under the impression that the price quoted INCLUDED a Buffet breakfast, BUT I was disappointed to be charged extra (4x7euros). As the invoice only included the price paid I could not argue my case. The price paid was therefore no better than if I had just turned up on the day. The property was 'tired' with fittings broken.

The hotel has a good relationship between price/quality. Rooms are clean and heating is very high. Bathroom with window (We didn't Expect)and Wc is in a little room a part from the rest of the bathroom. All around the Hotel there's silence. A big free park is available for customers. For me a very good experience

This is a great hotel with an assciated restaurant. We didnt eat at the restaurant b/c there was a grocery store across the street and we had a picnic instead. The rooms were very clean and quiet (perhaps b/c of low season)and large for France standards. Very comfortable. The manager speaks english and is very accomodating. Reading old reviews, I saw that there were some issues with pricing, but this hotel is under new management (mngr started 10 mo ago) and the prices are $40 for a double room. In fact the prices are posted on the door so there was no price hassling or problems. The Hotel is also across the street from the bus stop which takes you to Mt St Michel or the Pontorson train station.

We got a good night sleep, but besides that Le Saint Aubert was nothing special. About a 20 minute walk straight to Mont St. Michel and 10 minute bus ride (not walkable) from Pontorsson train station. We arrived and had to check in with the restaurant next door since check in was 3pm. They instructed us to come back, but we had luggage so inquired if we could leave it. He seemed to be invconvenienced but told us to find a chambermaid to figure something out. Not really helpful, but what can you get for 40euro?

Good overnight hotel just at the bottom of the causeway so very convenient. Spacious clean rooms, large bathroom, very comfortable beds. Reception closes at 6pm so we would not have been able to check in had we arrived 30 minutes later - not sure I saw that in any hotel information.

Pleasant one night stay, hotel a bit "down at heel", but we only needed a clean bed for one night. No tea or coffee making facillaties. Restaurent not inspiring, very basic evening meal, unless you eat fish. Breakfast was better.

This hotel was great for 40 Euros a night for two twin beds. It was clean, spacious and it had a private bath and toilet. Although it may appear to be within walking distance to Mont St Michel, it is a good 40 min walk. There is however, a bus that stops almost right outside the hotel that takes you directly to the train station in Pontorson and to MSM. The staff were friendly and nice, but not that knowledgeable about transportation. They spoke English, and they were very accomodating when we had to cancel one of our nights at the last minute. There is not that much to do in MSM, although there are festivals during the summer. There are more activities in Pontorson such as the Reptilarium. You do have the opportunity to rent a bike for the day which is a nice way to travel back and forth between the three areas.

The hotel is in a great place, very close to Mont Saint MIchel, is clean and roomas are nice. The car parking is huge. The only little problem is that porters are in only between 11 a.m. and 9.00 p.m. If you need informations, rooms and stuff you're out.

On arrival staff did not appear interested. Room adequate. Breakfast poor. Tables not cleared, flies on bread and tea tasted of nothing! We have stayed at five different places on our visit to France. This is the only one that we would not recommend.

The hotel is located to the good position from Mont. St. Michel with nice surrounding area. The price is the same which I have asked at the time of Check-in, and can add for breakfast 7 Euros per person if you want. The key for the room is bit poor for handling, but works. Generally the room is clean, but in the corner or some dark area, need few more tenderness for cleaning; but acceptable. Matress of the bed getting bit old, but can sleep. TV position is good to see when we are relaxing on the bed. 60 Euros per night for 2 people stay is good price with the combination of quality. Mont. St. michel; no word to speak about because it's great.

I was confirmed a rate of 40 euros for a double room for two persons. I had emailed the hotel prior to arrival asking if the room had one or two beds and that we preferred two if there was a choice of bedding/but wanted the price to be the 40euros confirmed. Never replied to me. When we checked out they tried to charge us 70 euros I showed them my Vemere confirmation with rate confirmed. We eventually paid 50 euros for room.

A Decent No nonsense little Hotel. Good restaurants across the road and within walking distance of the Mont St Michael (about 15 mins walk) Rooms were a little noisy due to the walls ect being a bit thin but nothing you couldnt live with, I thought that the price was good for the area 40 euro/night for a double room

Just to important remarks : 1. I booked one room for 4 people and they tried to give me 2 rooms of 2 people. 2. They tried to avoid the price agreed in your mail I succeed after hours of discusion/waiting because it was low season and because I had printed with me the reservation agreement form from your web. I am sure if the situation happen in high season, they wouldnt respect the agreement. Point to treat with them, otherwise your service loss credinility. Best regards
