Best choice to Mont Saint Michel. The hotel provide you a bike (no extra charge) and you can take one of the most beautiful ride of your life. Perfect location, delicious and generous breakfast for only 8 euros, rooms that are pretty new and a very pleasing host!

We were charmed by Hotel Gue de Beauvoir. It's not your typical place to spend the night and we loved that. The history of the hotel is fascinating. Breakfast in the entry of the old house and looking at the black and white photos and hearing the stories was memorable. The stand-alone structures with sod roofs were unique and a comfortable place to spend the night. This was an excellent value for a family of 4. Riding hotel bicycles along the river and then catching the free bus to Mont St. Michel is the way to go. So much better than getting caught up in the new expensive parking. We visited Mont St. Michel twice and the visit at twilight was a magical time. Hardly any people. The hotel recommended the seafood restaurant across the street and the mussels were exceptional. The local bakery was also quite good and a great value.

It's a little bit optimistic to call the Gué de Beauvoir a "hotel": the room did not even have a TV set, which is usually available in the most modest chambre d'hote, and the clothes cabinet consisted of a simple bar with hangers. Apart from this, the room was clean, the beds comfortable and the bathroom surprisingly large and well furnished; breakfast was very good, too. All in all, the prices are perhaps a bit too high for this kind of accommodation, but I guess one has to consider the location, very close to Le-Mont-Saint-Michel.

Our visit to Hotel Gue de Beauvoir was fantastic. The dwellings built by our host were wonderful environmentally friendly structures with grasses growing over thier curved tops. We relaxed immediately and ate our picnic dinner in the garden outside our room. The weather was lovely and we borrowed bikes to ride to Le Mont St Michel, beating the huge crowds in the morning. Ideal stay. Thank you.

Great location. Rooms are VERY sparsely furnished, more like dorm style, but considering the price, it's ok. Internet not available after 9pm.

Recommendable for people with a heart for hobbiton. Although the bungalows are a lot smaller than they look on the internet and there's no window to open! - the one big minus - they are charmingly built and furnished in a self-made way, with funny and innovative ideas - grass on the roof, spaghetti tongs as shower rack ... get the idea? We were strongly reminded of the popular German explorer series "Löwenzahn" for kids with Peter Lustig starring - and the owner even looked like him. Breakfast is simple but ok if you are on the sweeter side in the morning - with bread, croissants, jam and a plate of sliced fruits only. Really inexpensive and close to Mont St Michel, bikes available.

The hotel is more like a B&B. The room was small but clean and great for the one night we needed in Mt. Saint Michel. It is within walking distance of restaurants. There is a river that runs right behind the property that provides beautiful views of Mt. Saint Michel. What really makes the place though is the owners. They are very accommodating and welcoming. They will make you a typical French breakfast and their English was very good. I would stay again.

Absolutely quaint, different than any hotel I've ever stayed at. My children will always remember our stay as it is a unique "cottage". Not what we are used to staying in, no air conditioning but it was cool enough that we didn't need it. Some bugs but it didn't bother us. Close to Mont St-Michel. We drove the bikes provided by owner.

very pleasant stay at a country inn setting. Only 4 kilometers from the hotel to Le Mont St Michelle by bike or walking along the river bank trail. We borrowed bicycles from the hotel. There are several nice restaurants in walking distance. The town is very quit after the day trippers leave by evening. The bus from Rennes is an easy way to get there but the rennes station was hard to find, behind the building next to the station.

Accommodations are very suggestive. Made entirely of wood from the owner. Earth and grass roof. Accommodation basic but comfortable. Too bad the mosquitoes present in considerable amount despite the efforts of the Proprietor to disinfect the environment. However absolutely recommended for its proximity to the Mont Saint Michel.

There were no imformation about access on web, when you visit to this hotel by bus from Rennes train station. So I felt confuse a little. If you take a bus from Rennes train station, you should get off at "Beauvoir"stop. From there just 5to10 minutes you can get hotel by walk. When lent a byscle from the hotel(it's free), you can use it to Mt,saint michael easily by footpath. It was very comfotable because there is a nice view!! I did'nt have a breakfast, so I bought some sandwich at the store on the other side. It was very delicious!!

I loved this place! I booked it because we wanted to see Mont Saint Michel and find a family room for a reasonable price. These little cabins were clean and private. The space was fantastic and I felt comfortable with my two young children not bothering other guests because the cabins were not connected. The bathroom was new and very clean. I would imagine this to be a very fun family place to stay during the summer months because the door opens to an open area that is grassy and the children can play and picnic. We did not eat breakfast there but the staff pointed us to a fantastic restaurant only 50 meters away for dinner. Very friendly staff and super close to Mont Saint Michel. Would stay there again!

It was a surprise to arrive there and see the room, it was a new, spacious wooden made room, and very near Mont Saint Michel, only three or four minutes drive. We arrived late but the people in charge were extremely helpful and friendly, and breakfast is worth the price paid, specially when you see the prices outside... It was a nice surprise to lodge in this place... We would do it again...

Welcoming place on the road to Mt St-Michel. We slept in wooden bungalows covered by a roof of grass (should be clearly indicated on the web). Wooden interior, clean, very pleasant. You can park your car close to the bungalow. A little bit noisy in the morning as the road is just behind but it is OK. Breakfast a bit expensive as in every hotel in the region so we took it outside. Restaurants all along the road. Interesting place to visit the marvellous Mont St-Michel.
