considering the roomrate we had not expected a first-class hotel.What we found was nevertheless disappointing. Room was pretty large but very dark, even in daylight. The "common sitting room" was also the families sitting room with the TV permanently showing childrens programs. The breakfast was even for italian standards poor, consisting of one cup of coffee, a croissont, a pack of zwieback which was totally crumbled. It was simply disappointing.

For non-Europeans we found hotel extremely hard to find. Out of all our accom. this was worst value for money. No toilet, no frig, no lift. Old wirewove mattress base and thin hard mattress. Lumpy pillows. Did not have breakfast as thought at 5 euro each what was being offered was not good value. Hotel seems to be capitalizing on shortage of accommodation in area. Luckily we only stayed one night.

Cavi is a very nice little borgo The hotel is nice. A bit obscure/amature.

Its not as cozy and nice as you might think after reading the reviews.Strong smell of food in the room, damn children shouting all the time,a cradle in the room(we used it for drying swimsuits?)).BUT its the cheapest place near Portofino and Sestri, the beach is better than in Monterosso and Cavi itself is small but nice.Recommend it to `married with children`

a very quiet place to stay in, little but comfortable, clean and the staff was kind. relationship price/quality it's ok.. the breaksfast is nothing special, the bathroom is not in every single room, but ive always found it free, so i think there is one toilet for max 2 or 3 rooms. anyway each room has a shower. anyway i've been satisfied. just one thing, expecially for foreign people: if you have to try italian pizza, dont eat it there, the pizza is awful :Pbeach

On a bien aimé l'endroit. Hôtel confortable, chambre spacieuse. Personnel très accueillant et généreux dans pour toute information demandée. Endroit bien situé, très près de Portofino et on peut prendre le train pour Cinque Terre.

The room was small, but had a balcony which helped. Shower was in the corner of the room, as well as a sink. Commode room outside in hall. Breakfast was typical, but sparce. Have to ask for anything you want, they don't offer. Pretty good food there at dinner, but pricey. We found better and cheaper in town. Walking distace to Cavi from hotel. daniella is very sweet, and helpful. Ok for the money, but like a hostel in many ways.

Hotel ist zur Zeit (Oktober 2006) wegen Bauarbeiten an der Zufahrtsstrasse nur über einen deutlichen Umweg mit dem Auto zu erreichen. Durch die Baustelle am Tag etwas Lärm. Aber sonst eine nette Pension.

The place was nice for a one star hotel. Unfortunateltly the bed was not very confortable because is was a bit too soft.

A very nice and comfortable little hotel; very nice people look after you and prepare excellent meals! We enjoyed our stay very much!

Highly recommendable - friendly, helpful staff and relaxed atmosphere. Good food and a peaceful town, well placed for excursions to surrounding attractions.

Great little 1 star hotel; hosts very helpful and a pleasant evening meal. Breakfast very light. Rooms large and quaint. Great location but hard to find initially. Wonderful village, 2 minute walk to excellent restaurants and the Mediterranean.

A signpost at the main road crossing should be essential Restaurant and hotel were closed but we have been accepted thanks to our Venere reservation. Others hotels facing the sea (and the railway and the main road) seem very noisy for a single stay

The owner of hotel pineta dell iguana was very friendly and helpfull. It was a very pleasant stay in this family run hotel. One star hotel, but very clean and friendly!!

We have stayed twice at the Iguana, and we simple love it. It's nice, cosy and the restaurant is incredible. We would come back anytime!
