The typical Swiss chalet hotel is located in the heart of Lauterbrunnen, a three-minute walk from the train station and has a bus stop at the front door.
Not forgetting the spectacular views of the mountain, the Jungfrau, with the Silberhorn peak plus ‘Goethe’s’ waterfall, the Staubbach. Furthermore our hotel is in the area made famous by Sir Arnold Lunn and James Bond and at the end of the 15km Schilhorn-Mürren-Lauterbrunnen ski run.
In the winter you can almost ski straight into your freshly-made bed! The world famous 311 meter Staubbach waterfall, which was mentioned in Goethe’s poem ‘Gesang der Geister über den Wassern’, can be seen very close to our house.
In the summer a unique experience awaits you.
Mürren and Wengen are also easy to reach.
The hotel Schützen has its own bus stop so you do not even have to walk (3 minutes) to the station, if you do not want to. No other hotel in the village has this advantage. Another advantage is the numerous possibilities for coming back.
From Grindelwald you can either ski back or take the train. From Mürren it is possible to ski back to the hotel or take the cable car from Grütschalp or Stechelberg.

We stayed in room 20, it has a balcony and a great view of the waterfalls. You can overlook a few rough edges in a hotel with a view like that.

Stunning Views! How can that be an understatement, and yet does not seem to do justice to the literal mouth dropping, breathtaking beauty of this valley setting. The Hotel itself is idyllic with plenty of local swiss charm, friendly, helpful english speaking staff, and great accomodations in spotless comfortable room. Loved it! Will go back.
How to reach Hotel Schützen
By car
Your driving towards the Bernese Oberland to the village Interlaken. From there you follow the signs from the gateway of Wilderswil towards Grindelwald directly in the fabulous Valley of Lauterbrunnen with its 72 waterfalls!
By public transportation
You take the train from Berne or Lucerne directly to Interlaken Ost. Here you take the Bernese-Oberland-Train (BOB)which takes you directly to Lauterbrunnen. Here you walk directly in 4 minutes to you goal - our hotel, or you take the Postbus for one station only!

Especially in the winter the restaurant with its open fireplace offers a relaxing and homely, typical Swiss atmosphere. In summer you enjoy superb views from the garden terrace towards the mountains.

METHODS OF PAYMENT
Venere.com does not debit your credit card for your reservations. You will be asked to insert your credit card details which will be sent to the property only as a guarantee of the reservation. The bill will then have to be settled directly at the hotel. In case your chosen hotel needs a deposit, this information will be included in the "Cancellation policy" section and the deposit will have to be settled directly with the pre-selected property. It is not possible to cancel your reservation if you selected and booked a room indicated as "PREPAID/NOT REFUNDABLE". In this case, the total amount of your stay will be charged to your credit card by the hotel at the time of booking.

Pets are only allowed on request as there are only a small number of rooms that could accommodate dogs. The price per dog, regardless of their size is CHF 15.00 per animal and day without food.
All children under 6 years stay free of charge if they are sleeping in the parents bed.
Baby-cods for children under 2 years available for CHF 20.00 per night.
All older children and adults pay CHF 48.00 per night and person for an extra bed (breakfast (18.00) & citytax (3.00) not included)

Cancellation between 29 and 14 days before arrival, 50% of the total
costs will be charge.

costs will be charge.
You may cancel your reservation without penalty up until 30 days before your arrival date, by accessing the Your Reservations page. It is not possible to cancel your reservation if you selected and booked a room indicated as "PREPAID/NOT REFUNDABLE".
