Hotel Nash Carlton - Lausanne

Very nice hotel at very good (special-offer) price. Room with private balconee. Only thing to be aware is that the breakfast is not included and costs 25! The description says "Breakfast at Hotel Nash Carlton: A delicious hot and cold breakfast buffet is served from in the breakfast room, or directly in the bedrooms, ..." Not even the confirmation tells you wether it is included or not. IT IS NOT! But I repeat, the hotel is very nice. Friendly staff. Clean. Nice garden. Near station. Some noise of trains (had room opposite side). Outside car parking included. Good italian restaurant 200m nearby: Ana Capri.

Room nice,clean and modern, we had a beautiful balcony. The location to the metro with perfect. Paid too much for internet service and restaurant prices expensive. Other issue was the front desk sent us on a wild goose chase to a restaurant that was not there. Tired and frustrated.

This is a very charming hotel near the lake and easily accessible from the train station. We loved our room and our time in Lausanne. Everything was perfect and we'll definitely stay here again!

We stayed at the Nash Carlton for one night whilst visiting the area. Excellent location. Nextdoor to quiet and clean Metro in a leafy residential area (and walking distance to the photography mueseum & Olympic Museum). Very short hop to Ouchy, where the lake side restaurants and bars are - would take 10 minutes to walk down hill. Good firm bed and pillows. Rooms and public areas smelt of fresh lillies. Room is great for just sleeping in and getting changed to explore area. Hotel gives you free travel pass for the duration of your stay, but charges for adaptor plugs. Would stay again.

The Nash Carlton is the best price to quality hotel I found in Lausanne! The Hotel is beautiful and the location is right on the metro line. You cannot go wrong with this Hotel.

I would stay at this hotel again on my next visit to Lausanne. It is a well kept secret.

Visiting Lausanne with particular emphasis on it's public transport. Location next to the new M2 station was therefore very useful! Rooms quite small for the price, but balcony was very welcomne. Bar closed as early as 2315hrs.

Very Nice hotel. It was exactly as depicted in the photographs. All in all a very nice stay.

We experienced a little lack of communication among the staff: we had asked a receptionist to add a bed in the room and when we arrived the other receptionist didn't know about it and the bed still had to be added. However, the overall experience was positive. We appreciated the free pass for the public transports and the metro stop is just next to the hotel.

Location is very good. Nice neighborhood and hotel is right next to a Metro stop. Parking was right in front of the hotel. Rooms are very small, but we knew that ahead of time. There was no place to open your suitcase; however, there were built in wardrobes on either side of the bed. Rooms are very pretty and have a hot water pot for tea or instant coffee. Like many hotels in France and Switzerland, there is no exhaust fan or window in the bathroom. Hence, there was mold around the tub. I told the front desk upon our check out so that problem would be fixed before next guests. Front staff was very helpful with directions and info about stores from the Internet. Would recommend to others and stay here again. A nice bonus: There was a small balcony off our room. You could see Lake Geneva in the distance.

Very good value for a weekend stay. Nice touch with the complimentary Metro ticket for guest.

Excellent loaction, just beside the metro. Beautiful rooms as well. Only drawback is that breakfast is not included in the price that is quoted and costs about CHF 25 per person per day. Unfortunately Wifi access is not free. Have been to Lausanne several times and I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Un helpful Staff took great delight in telling us teh hotel bar was closed at midnight so we couldnt have a night cap. Rooms were very small and walls so thin i could hear snoring from neighbours

I would HIGHLY recommend this hotel to everyone!! All areas were extremely clean, the staff was superb, and the rooms were spacious and comfortable. Located within walking distance of the bus (which we got a free pass to) and shopping. The grounds were maintained and beautiful. Plus, they had washcloths!!! I can't say enough good things about this hotel!

Outstanding, but don't let word get around. If you stay here, eat at the Cafe Croix d'Ouchy on the corner.

One night. All that could reasonable be expected was available. Good value for money.

A very good hotel very convenient for public transport and access to lakeside. The 'hot' breakfast was somewhat lacking but did not really detract from the overall enjoyment of staying in a very pleasant hotel.

The Melia Carlton was a comfortbale stay which was expected for the price. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the breakfast was excellent. Parking was good. Only feedback was that the local taxes were not quoted on the website.
