My family (2 adults and 2 boys (13+6yrs) booked a triple room for 2 nights. Spacious enough to add an extra bed. Spacious bathroom too! A pleasant surprise to get a room facing the rock garden with fountain. As it was hot, able to open the sliding window. Central to places of interest in Lausanne. All within walking distance. Just a short distance to Central Train Station. Be prepare to climb the steep hill to hotel. As one of the day was a Sunday - took a train to Nyon followed by a ferry to Yviore, France - medieval town. Overall, Lausanne is an enjoyable town and Alpha Palmiers is great.

Pefect location to explore Lausanne - modern hotel that looks like a volcano: the rooms open to the center - there is water in the garden during the day and fire during the night. Excellent thai resto in the hotel - the regular resto is ok, but not breathtaking. I love this hotel!
