Staff were excellent, very helpful when we needed an early breakfast before the dining room was open. Restaurant attached to the hotel had very good food at reasonable prices and there was also a pizzeria nearby.

This a hotel we can recomend for everyone to visit and enjoy their stay in Tuscany. The staff are excellent and made our stay so wonderful. The location allows visits to Florence and Pisa via train or car. Also there are many small villages in the area with so much history. Our stay was not long enough and we will return. The restaurant at the hotel is five star with local food cooked the authentic tuscan way

A very nice place to stay near Florens. It’s just to remember that one has to have a car to reach the hotel, there is no public transport nearby. And if you don’t like curving mountains roads try to find another place to stay. But those who risks anyway “climbing” to the hotel will be totally satisfied.

We stayed at Hotel Monti for three nights and it really was a nice holiday also because the employees were very kind to us and the breakfast service was quite good. The only weakness in my opinion was the room: it was very quiet but a little bit old-fashioned and it probably needs some restructuring, but I thinh the owners have already planned about that.

Beautiful surroundings. Rooms were alittle tired but clean. Restaurant was excellent, service was slow but expected. Breakfast was disappointing. Overall we had a nice stay.

Easy to find, very good location, clean and simple place for family vacation, not for honeymoon. Romantic surroundings, perfect staff and food. Very good restaurant, exellent simple wine list. Recommended for 3-4 days stay.

Warm welcome on arrival. A slight problem with the booking but the owner made no fuss and sorted things out. Surroundings very welcoming and relaxing after long days driving. Dinner in the restaurant was very enjoyable from start to finish, service, food, location/ambience. Monti is very good.

Diana & Francesca are perfect hosts and chefs. Cannot speak too highly of all aspects.Gardens and pool were superb.Cuisine of very high standard. The village of San Baronto is small and very friendly and linked to the nearest rail station

Monti is a cosy and quiet hotel in a green surrounding and an excellent starting point to discover northern Tuscany. Price quality is really good. Don't expect great luxury, but a nice family hotel with a good restaurant and friendly staff.

The Hotel Monti was just simply a wonderful experience. It's location is quiet, beautiful, and easily accesible by car. We had home made croissants and pastries for breakfast, plus all the usuals. We ate dinner in their hotel for all 3 nights we were there. There were 4 of us adults, and we all had the best we've ever had of whatever we ordered, each and every night. Special requests were greeted as a chance for the Hotel to do something for us. The Hotel seemed delighted and flattered that we chose them. We were the ones that were actually priviledged! Their English was limited, our Italian was awful, and it didn't hamper in anyway. If I needed to find a flaw, it would be that they were not prepared to tell us about the closeness of many wonderful things to do. Vinci, with it's outstanding Leonardi Di Vinci museum, and small quaint restaurants and shops, was 30 minutes away. Many other country drives were available. We also drove to Pistoria and caught one of the frequent trains to Florence. All 4 of us hope to return to Italy in the future, and Hotel Monti will become a major destination. We send them our appreciation.
