Hotel Tivoli Carvoeiro - Carvoeiro, Lagoa

We spent 6 nights in a double room on the 6th floor, with a sea view. The room itself was spacious, for once I wasn't tripping over my luggage! It was also spotlessly clean as was the rest of the hotel. We were on a B&B basis but ate lunch every day at the snack bar next to the pool; the food was always tasty and fresh. Breakfast in the hotel was a treat with a huge selection from the buffet. We ate 2 evening meals in the restaurant and both times the food was excellent, the service prompt and friendly. We were there just before the mad tourist season starts so Carvoeiro was relatively quiet, which was what we were after. It's a short walk downhill into the town - quite steep coming back but OK if you take it slowly. We ate out at local restaurants most nights and found the food to be good everywhere. We found the locals to be really friendly and most spoke a reasonable amount of English which always helps. It's worth taking a morning to go walking the cliffs around the hotel. I must also make special mention of the Scuba diving crew. It was my first attempt at this and they were really professional, patient and kind. I would happily go back to this hotel for another holiday any day.

A wonderful hotel. Very friendly staff, with excellent laguage skills. Truely wonderful view from balcony. Hotel in wonderful surroundings and in a great position for all amenities. we loved it.

Good hotel in a smaller town. Definitely pay the extra 25 EURO to get sea view - it is well worth it. Noisy but decent breakfast, especially on the weekend.

A pesar de que reserve un tipo concreto de habitacion, siendo imprescindible que mirase al mar, a la llegada al hotel nos dicen que no hay libres habitaciones de esas caracteristicas, a pesar de que se nos confirmo, via email, que si habia disponibilidad. nadie ofrecio sus xcusas ni se nos dio una explicacion,a pesar de reclamarlo incluso por escrito. hechos asi ponen en duda LA EFICACIA Y UTILIDAD DEL SISTEMA DE RESERVA POR INTERNET, pues nos haran plntear si merece la pena asumir el riesgo de que nos tomen el pelo una vez mas.

Excellent stay, beautiful room overlooking the pool and ocean. Scuba shop on the premises. We'd gladly stay here again, it was the high point of our two weeks in Portugal.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Tivoli Hotel. I´d like to go back soon again. I´ll book again through venere.com
