reception Hotel Diana reception The Hotel Diana is located in the historic centre of La Spezia. Easily accessible from the highway
and the railway station, in just two minutes walk you have all public transport in the city. In the
vicinity are placed the Navy Museum, the Museum of Contemporary Art, the Museum Lia, one of
the Seals and the main points of historical interest. Very close, furthermore, the promenade with
boarding ferry for the five lands. From are within easy reach famous tourist destinations: Lerici,
Tellaro, Fiascherino, Portovenere, Cinque Terre, Lunigiana, Versilia and cities of Tuscany. Nearby
there are numerous restaurants.
The management is curated by the same owners, the hospitality makes it an excellent reference
point for customers who for reasons of work must entertain in the city for short periods.
The hotel is enriched by numerous works of the famous painter Aladino Ghioni, the rooms are
painted different.
The masterpieces of surrealist painter are present in 16 rooms, the subject of much curiosity,

Hotel was a long way from the station despite indicating it was close to all public transport. Located in a noisy street opposite a betting shop which generated additional noise, no air conditioning so doors needed to be left open to let the noise in. Hosts were very friendly but language barrier was a problem - kept sending us to an internet cafe which never seemed to be open. Lift for any luggage is in an adjoining building and only accessible with the hosts. The tariff was excessive for what was provided.

Hotel Diana is really a pension, not a hotel. The woman who runs Diana was very nice, but does not speak English. My room was small and had no air conditioning, but was clean. I kept the window open at night, as my room faced the alley, but I think it would be noisier if I faced the main street. For the price, I did not mind sharing a bathroom, the location is convenient to get to the harbor, and about 15 minute walk from the train station. If you want to get to Cinque Terre, it is easy by train or boat from La Spezia, and less expensive to stay. I would recommend Diana to single travelers or couples on a budget, as it is one of the least expensive places in La Spezia.

The bathroom smelled like a urinal, and we were a bit concerned about security as our balcony was accessible from the public area and our doors were left open after cleaning. The owners were very hospitable and did their best to answer our questions (our Italian wasn't great). Art work was unique and worth a comment.

Hotel vecchio e molto caro, assurdo il prezzo del parcheggio. Mi hanno chiesto la "modica somma" di € 24 al giorno. Per il resto la struttura dimostra tutti gli anni che ha. Molto gentili e cordiali le proprietarie
