Very noisy rooms facing a busy road. Ask for a room at the rear. Lovely location with plenty of local attractions and a good range of local restaurants. Hoteliers should stay in rooms to ensure everything works. All thel lights turned off as you leant against the headboard as it was covering the main switch. There was no surface in the bathroom for anything.

This was my second visit to this hotel. After my first visit (3 nights in July 2007) I thought I would not use the hotel again. However mainly because of convenience I changed my mind and stayed again for a single night. I would say I am unlikely to stay there again. The hotel has the potential to be excellent. The location, the rooms, the grounds and the pool are good. The main turn off for me was the coolness of the welcome. The restaurant was largely disappointing although when price is taken into account was not absolutely dreadful. My abiding memory of this hotel was that the patron and wife (I assume) left me with the impression that it would not really matter to them whether I chose to stay here again or not. There is one point on which I would like to commend the hotel. My son left some personal belongings behind and the staff were very helpful in returning them to us (at a cost of course). I have stayed in one other hotel in the region which is also a member of the Relais de Silence grouping. Although it was in the same category as Le Manoir I found it to be vastly superior primarily because of the warm welcome, the hospitality, the superb restaurant and cuisine and the simple friendliness of each and every mmber of staff. Whilst it is a more expensive hotel than Le Manoir there is little doubt which of the two I would prefer to stay in on my next visit to the region.
