Hotel El Consulado resides in the old Consulate of Panama and still retains much of the atmosphere from an earlier age. Some of our furniture dates back to 1925 and is of exquisite quality. The house itself is a heritage site, and so we have done much to maintain it as it once was.

We have one of the few remaining victorian gardens of La Paz, with trees and several plants from around Bolivia, visited by humming birds and several other birds. Thus we like to call it a refuge. Our guests come here to stay in one of our unique rooms, eat at our price winning restaurant or just to sit and relax in the Garden.

We have recently renovated our rooms and added double windows, to preserve energy, but also to make the place even more tranquil.Apart from the hotel, in our house you will find our Restaurant, an Artisan Shop, a gallery and a Travel Agency. We trust you will need to look nowhere else for a great trip to La Paz.

Breakfast at Hotel Boutique El Consulado

People stay with us because of our breakfast. It is a specially and individually prepared brunch with Egg Muffin, bacon, ham, chorizos and local cheese. Ratatoille of grilled vegetables, assorted fresh seasonal fruit with hibiscus syrup, pancakes and yogurt with muesli, homemade bread, jam and butter. Orange juice and coffee / tea. If you stay for long we will vary the brunch according to your wishes. We do also have other breakfasts you can choose from. Like our special altitude breakfast, that caters to guests coming to La Paz from sea level. The brunch is included.

Room Details

All our rooms have been individually furnished. People staying for longer times in La Paz, like to stay with us, because we offer variety in our rooms and a very homely atmosphere. We have recently renovated our rooms, and now offer a new Presidential suite where the Consulate of Panama lived himself. Many honeymooners choose this suite, since it is bigger, boasts a kingsize bed, a very rare inventory and a ceramic bathroom with full wall shower.All rooms have private baths, includes highspeed wifi and a very rich Brunch.
