First time in La Bourboule. Town, hotel and surrounding countryside make this spa town stand well above the Matlocks and Buxtons of the UK. Hotel was clean, bright airy and quiet. I can't wait to go back for a longer stay and experience the spa, the walks and the cable cars. The local park is brilliant. Pleased I did not take my kids there when they were younger otherwise we would have spent all day every day in the park and on the rides.

Very spacious room overlooked river, which had a wonderful sound to put us to sleep at night. Tub/shower combo WITH shower curtain. Web TV was in the process of being intalled, so we had NO TV. Plentiful on-street parking. Restaurant had very good food, but service was very slow when a large bus group was dining. Hotel did not honor the discount we were supposed to be given via venere.com
