Swiss Garden Hotel - Kuala Lumpur

We were a family of four passing through KL for a stop-over. We booked initially for two nights at the Swiss Garden and extended it to five. The room was a quad - two rooms connected by a door with a double bed in one and two singles in the other. There were network sockets in both of the rooms but only one worked, and the staff at the front desk had almost no idea about their Internet service at all. We were there in the off season (the October build-up to the wet season) so the price was low. The hotel's location is great for shopping - right next to the golden triangle - and for eating - only a stone's throw away from Jalan Alor, a street packed with cheap food stalls and restaurants. Apart from buses and taxis, it is a 15 or 20 minute walk to the Imbi monorail station (in front of the Times Square shopping plaza). About 100 metres down the road on Jalan Budu is the private Chinese hospital, which is the right place to go if you get bitten by a monkey! Our room was on the 12th floor, so no city noise, but a family next door had a young child who cried for an hour at 4am, and the sound carried through the wall! We would stay here again if we had to stay in KL, but next time we visit we will probably want to get out of the city.

Room was excellent size, modern decor and well laid out for 2adults 2children. interconnecting door with next door, however, led to noise coming through. Pool small but OK. Area not brilliant for long stay but central to most areas - taxis on street or foyer. Window lock broken, so care had to be taken with kids. I would recommend for cheap 1-2 night stay for the room, however would look elsewhere for longer or without kids.

It was a very nice expierence to stay at the Swiss Garden Hotel. When we came back to KL we choose again for the Swiss garden Hotel for or stay in KL.

The hotel is stunning and exceed my expectations considering the price. I expected a lower standard.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff were all very friendly and made us feel very welcome. Location is great. Would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Modern, adequate. Location is not ideal tho, can't really walk to the area with lots of restaurants, and taking taxis in KL is just nightmare. But can walk to a couple of malls.
