I booked through Venere and this reduced the price considerably. It was my first stay in KL and Piccolo and this hotel is in a great location as many great shopping opportunities are only minutes away. The hotel restaurant was really great and while there were plenty of options for meat-eaters, vegetarians are well catered for too and the executive chef was very happy to vary dishes from night to night. Only downside of the restaurant is that it is open to the lobby and the strong fishy smells in the early evening were pretty unpleasant. Our room was lovely with firm beds and clean white linen throughout. The shower was huge with a yummy rainhead shower. Toilet was separate though both open on to the bedroom behind sandblasted glass doors. The only downside of the housekeping was that they didn't wipe the surfaces so crumbs and tea rings remained. Otherwise the cleaning was fine. KL has many smokers so it is best to ask for a non-smoking floor if you can though our room certainly didn't smell bad. It is worth having your feet 'grazed' by the fish in the hotel just for the novelty! I would definitely return to this hotel next time I visit KL (my teenage daughter also would return here).

This is a fine hotel. It has a great location and the staff was friendly. Internet was on and off ,if that matters to you. Skip the hotel breakfast (its just not a good deal for the money ) and walk outside . There are plenty of places to eat in the area. The hotel has sort of an Italian minimilast/strange aquatic theme to it. If this interest you -you will find this to be an overall good hotel, good value.If yu are looking more for an asian theme- this wont interest you.

Nice hotel in a good location. MRT stop is at 300 m, lot of places to eat in the neighbourhood. Room was spacious and nice. Only strange point is the open bathroom. Toilet is in a separate cabinet and so the shower. But the basin is right in the room (as can be seen by one of the pictures)
