Hotel Wielopole - Krakow

Although I might not return to this hotel because the room was so tiny I have to add that the staff was simply first rate. They really want you to be satisfied and that's rare. The wifi was quite spotty to non existant. The breakfast was nothing special and I think we can do better when it comes to the hot portion...scrambled eggs swimming in something accompanied by sad wieners in broth....young travellers should enjoy this well situated hotel and its youthful staff.

Hotel situated very close to the Old Town, near tram route. Staff very friendly.

We stayed at the Wielopole Oct.7-11,2012 and it was an excellent experience. From our inital contact in July,2012 until our check-out the staff were superior. Thanks to Karolina, Marta, and Kamil. We could not fault this hotel which far exceeded our expectations. All of the staff were helpful and friendly, and nothing appeared to be too much trouble for them. The only blot on the horizon was the building across the road which was in the process of being refurbished causing the road outside the hotel to be congested. Ultimately that will not effect your stay at the Wielopole. We would happily stay here again and would recommend it to anyone.

We visited Wielopole first time. Room was ok, it had space and airconditioning worked wonderfully. Only negative thing was cleaning: the room was cleaned well when we arrived, but during next days they didn`t clean it carefully (beds weren`t made carefully, they changed some dirty bottles of shampoo...) But otherwise the hotel was great and expecially the staff were friendly.

family group mother and 2 teenage daughters Honestly everything they say about location it true - couldn't get more central. Breakfast was excellent. Excellent value and across from the holiday inn hotel went over and apart from the bigger foyer the Wiepole wins. Photographs suggest rooms bigger than they are. From the pictures you assume that a triple room means three bed - not so the 3rd is a fold out bed not suitable for a city stay were you are going all day and need a good nights rest. When I complained we were moved to a sofa bed which was much better but we did have to move during our stay. Overall would I stay again but specify 3 beds also the first room we were put in was dark - rooms to the front of the hotel lovely.

Good all round,just suffers a little from rowdy drinker going home in early hours. Excellent location just on edge of Old Town and 10 mins from Station. Would certainly go back

Very good location. Only 5 minutes walk from the old town square. The hotel staff is very helpful and polite. Breakfast was good for the costs. We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel and beautiful Krakow.

My room was a standard double bed at the first floor. The position of the hotel is very good; 50m from the closest tram/bus stop; you can reach the main railway station and the stop of the bus for the airport in 5 minutes, and go everywhere with the public transportation. It is also just at the border of the old city, the most interesting part of Krakow. The hotel is directly on the street and the rooms with a street view can be a bit noisy (there are lot of people walking on the road in this period, even during the late night). The hotel itself is very confortable, very clean, the personnel is efficient and polite. In my package the breakfast was included, that is a plus in my opinion (the quality and selection was also good).

A real find - close to the centre, helpful reception staff, very nice modern, quiet and clean room, decent breakfast. Would definitely recommend

This is a great little hotel. Staff are really friendly and helpful. Position is excellent for a short stroll to the main square or for a longer (but still easy) walk down across the river to Schindler's factory (highly recommended btw for the Nazis in Krakow exhibition). Breakfast had all we wanted - fruit, cerials, yoghurt,cold meats,cheese, scrambled egg; some might want to swap Bockwurst for bacon! We travelled from the airport by train (easy walk from station) and back by taxi the hotel booked (80 PLN). We definitely would (and will) use the hotel again.

In spite of having several markings, the hotel was actually a little difficult to find at first. You'll eventually notice it across from the Holiday Inn. The location is good: close to old town, close to public transportation, and no more than 20 minutes walk from the train station. The staff is very friendly, the facilities clean and attractive, and the breakfast is good. My only complain is that the area behind the hotel is a bit of an echo chamber, and I was woken up earlier than I wanted by the sounds of cooing pigeons. But that's still a better way to wake up than some buzzing alarm clock.

Great location for the main attractions of this lovely city which rates highly with the most attractive medieval cities in Europe.Good value.
