Perfect location, just minutes from the main square yet on the right side for the castle and the Jewish Quarter. Two or three restaurants within yards of the hotel. Having said that, it's hardly far to the railway station or the Galeria Krakowski on the other side of the square. Room very comfortable, very clean. Bathroom was modern and again very clean. The shower was great! Didn't try the wellness facilities, didn't even see them so can't comment on what they were like. We stayed 4 nights in Nov 2012 so didn't have the opportunity to use the courtyard which looked like it would be lovely to sit in during the summer. Breakfast - a good standard selection, both hot and cold. The only failing was the coffee which we could't drink but tea and chocolate were also on offer so not a big deal. Lovely cosy breakfast area. We chose this hotel for location, price and because it looked smaller and intimate than the big impersonal chains - we weren't disappointed and would happily stay here next time.

This hotel was wonderful. It's tucked away on a quiet street so you are away from traffic. I was able to check in at 7am !! The room was large and looked newly redone. The front desk staff was very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was great as well. I would stay here again. It's walking distance to everything in Old Town.

We have stayed at Wawel Hotel for 3 days. There were no shampoo. The cleanliness of the room was deficient (including garbage of previous passengers). The bed was unconfortable. The bed corners were really dangerous. I've been hurt on my knee while walking in the room.

First of all we choose Hotel Wawel because of their "non-smoking-pets-free" hotel. As we came to Hotel Wawel we found nice and helpful persons and a nice quiet room agianst the street. We didn't notice any traffic. Every day the room were cleaned and new toweles was found. We had free internet. The breakfast was good. The receptionist help us with all kind of questions. Even with tickets to the Salt Mine- and Auswitch- tour. As we are a mature couple we will recomend the Hotel Wawel for mature people - quiet and very near the market place.

We had an excellent stay at Hotel Wawel. The staff was wonderful - if I asked a question they didn't know the answer to, they'd Google it and call my room. They were always very friendly. Hotel is right in the middle of everything. 5 minute walk to the base of Wawel castle, 5 minute walk to the cloth hall. Beautiful churches everywhere with concerts at night. Room was very comfy, quiet, AC worked well and the shower was fantastic - great water pressure and nice warm water. Check out Miod Molina (right on the corner near the hotel) for the best polish food you can find - a Michelin rated restaurant. Skip Pod Anitolami which is also nearby. Atmosphere is great, food is a huge disappointment.

The hotel was nice, clean, and well represented by its 3 stars. The location was fantastic! The staff was helpful when asked, some friendlier than others, but always competent. The restaurant attached to (but not run by?) the hotel, the "Rocking Horse," was also nice, reasonable, and great for a late night drink or meal. We would absolutely stay at the Hotel Wawel again!

We were parents travelling with 19yo daughter, and had 2 rooms. Both were excellent. The staff had very good English and were very helpful with directions, booking a tour to Aushcwitz and even loaning us their personal umbrellas. Breakfast was very generous. Enjoyed the Mexican restaurant a few doors away, and there are plenty of restaurant options in the Square.

Central location. Very comfortable room. Lovely outdoor courtyard. Reasonable breakfast. Excellent internet access. Parking nearby (pay). As a mature couple, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Wawel Hotel. 'Krakow in Your Pocket' is an invaluable guide for eateries & attractions - available from the hotel. We highly recommend this hotel & would stay there again. PS We stayed for 6 nights.
