Hotel Tournet - Krakow

Surprisingly good, better than expected. Very good breakfast, always fresh and good quality bread. Perfect location in the city and good connection with public transport. Tram no.10 to central station just 50m from the hotel. Young, helpful staff. Hotel has got very nice interesting interior.

First time in Krakow. Good location and price. Really nice and helpful staff. Clean room. No TV in our room so we could not find out what people watch - no big deal, lots of other things to do and see in Krakow. Good breakfast

Location is perfect-just a few mins from the historic centre n the castle. Around there are many pubs, restaurants n supermarkets if u want to some "normal food". The personnel is very nice n helpful plus the breakfast is really good, so i highly recommend this place.

If I return to Krakow, I will stay at this hotel again!! It isn't too far from the old town area (you can walk there from the hotel, maybe 15-20 minutes) and is in a quiet part of town. I stayed during the week and never heard anything in the middle of the night. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. The rooms were clean, spacious, and had free wifi and satellite tv (good for the news if you are an English speaker). Breakfast in the morning was both delicious and complimentary, with hot items (eggs, sausages) and standard meats, breads, cereals and fruits. I was sad to leave, and highly recommend this hotel to those looking for a more adult lodging experience in this fantastic city.

Perfect location. nice neighbourhood, you could breath the true cracovian atmosphere, not so touristic. well connected with other sites to visit by public transport and on foot. close to Vistola river. always friendly and precious staff, for every question. good quality-price rate; room quite large. breakfast: it shoudn't be the main reason you choose this guesthouse! posizione perfetta. bel quartiere, dove poter respirare una vera atmosfera cracoviana, poco turistica. ben connesso con altri luoghi da visitare. è vicino al fiume vistola. sempre amabile e prezioso staff, per ogni quesito. buon rapporto qualità prezzo. stanze abbastanza ampie. colazione: non dovrebbe essere la ragione principale per la quale scegli questo alberghetto

Recently I spent a month in Krakow waiting for work that never materialized. This discouraging experience might have been worse were it not for the warmth and hospitality of the family-owned Hotel Tournet. If you don’t mind a walkup, you will find rooms spacious and high-ceilinged with careful attention to the details of renovation. WiFi access was easy and included. Unfortunately, cigarette smoke sometimes suffused my room—quite a drawback for a nonsmoker severely allergic to nicotine. Despite arrival 15 hours late, the proprietor was there to greet me personally and ensured my every need was met. He even customized an adaptor plug on-the-spot for my notebook computer. The family seems embarrassed to think of these small but crucial services as extras. (Useful services in the same block include a coin laundromat, cobbler, horologist, and optician.) Stomach rumblings were treated to an elegant breakfast buffet of scrambled eggs and sausages, dry cereals and sweets, a selection of breads, cheeses and meats with vegetable condiments, and breakfast beverages. Breakfast is included and service did not slip with fewer guests. A new amenity is the Czarny Kociol / Black Cauldron restaurant, with dishes more flavorful and priced better than nearby eateries. The soups alone are worth a trip—the peppery borscht broth reduces prior recipes to insipid poseurs. The family attends to customers with a gracious formality that warmed this old fogey, even inviting me to a gathering of friends the night before opening. When prolonged unemployment necessitated my unexpected return to the USA, the proprietor delivered packing materials to my room, escorted my large boxes to the post office, and arranged shipping with the Polish-speaking postal clerks. FedEx picked up my international letter at the hotel for on-time delivery to its USA recipient.

Very good location on edge of old Jewish quarter 10 mins to caste and 15 mins to centre. Undergoing some renovations but staff worked around all the changes. Recommend

Great little hotel, in an intersting suburb within walking distance of the old town. We parked in the guarded parking recommended by the hotel at 48 Miodowa as the street parking is a nightmare. Our room at the back was very quiet. Very good service from reception, heaps of tourist info available. Breakfast bag was good. Eat at Kucnia u Doroty on the same street, Excellent Polish home cooking at very cheap prices.

This is the second time I've been in Tournet and it was perfect again. Excellent location, cleaned and cheap!

This was our first visit to Krakow. We made a lucky choice with Tournet, whose heart is currently larger than its facilities, but it has ambitions to develop into a full hotel in the future. Its current drawbacks are: no lift and no communal breakfast room, so breakfast in the form of a brown paper bag containing juice/rolls/butter/jam/processed spread/ham is delivered personally to each guest daily. Much is wasted, due to packaging and selective palates, and for most people, meals are a communal activity. However, courtesy and calm plus plenty of nearby facilities make the Tournet a very good bargain, and while I can still carry ( just about) my own luggage, I hope to return.
