Hotel Matejko - Krakow

The hotel's location was excellent. The rooms were very good but were starting to look shabby. The staff were pleasant and helpful.

Friendly staff, good breakfast, comfortable bed. Very convenient location. A good restaurant serving traditional polish food down the street. 5 min walk to Stare Miasto (Old Town). Recommended

I arrrived at the hotel somewhat sick on May 16. Staff was very accomodating giving me a room near the elevator. I became increasing more ill through the night. The next morning the desk staff made arrangements to get me to the hospital. I was immediately admitted and spent the next 5 weeks there. It was not the hotel stay I had planned, but the staff's efforts helped save my life... my heart felt thanks!

Ideal location to visit the city literally 5 minutes walk to the square. Perfect to visit the salt mine and Aushwitz as the tour office is five doors or so down and the coach also leaves and returns from there. No pick ups at other hotels which can add up to 2 hours extra onto your trip

Brilliant location, great price, breakfast was typical continental but fine for the price, staff were very helpful and informative, would definitely go back!

We were supposed to have wifi access in our room 114 but there was no access. We were told that that room did not have it even if there was a sign that all rooms were supposed to have it. The room was never vacuumed during the 4 nights we were there.

Clean hotel great location lovely breakfast will be going back soon.

The hotel is in an excellent location. It's five minutes from the main railway station and the old town. We could not have picked a better place for our stay in Krakow. The hotel staff were very pleasant and helpful. Would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to anyone and would definitely stay there again.

It was a considerably good hotel. However, the guest in room next to mine was singing at midnight. He had very bad feelings at breakfast.

For the price I paid for 3 people, this was an excellent 3 star hotel. Room was very large and clean. Very near the train and bus station (5 mins on foot). Buffet breakfast was very good and a large selection to chose from. Staff spoke good English. Only bad point was that one of the plug sockets had come away from the wall, but I tend to find a lot of places in Poland have the same problem. I would use this hotel again if I go to Krakow.

Very efficient in organising transport to and from airport, but have not replied to 2 emails on our return.

Camere spaziose in un hotel in posizione strategica per visitare Cracovia e dintorni. La pulizia delle camere lascia un po' a desiderare, ma nel complesso è un buon posto dove fermarsi per qualche giorno.

Family holiday with 3 adult children. Stayed in Krakow to visit Auschwitz and Wieliczka Salt Mine. Enjoyed proximity of Hotel Matejko to Old Town, which came to life at night. Street entertainment made a walk to the town square worthwhile. Next time intend to make a point of checking out artworks by Matejko on display in Cloth Hall. Hotel is very handy to train station, shopping centre and pick-up point for sightseeing tours. Breakfast was a delicious spread of good quality food. No language barrier as hotel staff spoke English well.

Great location ,only a couple of minutes from the train station. don,t bother paying 70 zloty for a taxi when you can get a free shuttle bus to the train platform and a frequent train for only 6 zloty ! All staff were very pleasant and helpful with reception speaking very good english. Our room (102) was bigger than we expected, clean and in excellent condition. Bathroom good with plenty of clean towel every day. Buffet breakfast was good with lots of choice and different drinks. Position just outside the old city walls would be hard to beat and we would strongly recommend this hotel. 10/10
