Hotel Atrium - Krakow

Excellent hotel very well placed!

Second stay here and would certainly use again. Great value for the price, good location, plenty for breakfast. Happy days!!

We stayed at the Atrium over the Whitsun bank holiday weekend and at £100 per night we expected more than the small, clean double room with adequate breakfast we received. Be aware that at the present time the hotel is overlooking a construction site the noise from which woke us at 7 am on our Monday morning - although it possibly may not have had I not left the window open! Directions to the hotel on the Venere site are appalling and led us to believe we needed to get bus 191 from the airport (actually it's the 292), and get off the bus at Rondo Mogilskie which we did only to discover we then needed to get a tram a few stops to the hotel. On arrival we told the receptionist that the hotel needed to ensure the directions were clearer but she just said that Venere would not listen to them! We were also given totally wrong directions from the receptionists to the main square and the 292 bus stop for our return. The hotel did let us leave our case on our last day as we had a late flight but worryingly when we returned there was a disagreement going on in the reception area. Two couples had arrived to be told that their rooms were no longer available as they had been vandalised by young people so they were to be accommodated at a different hotel. The couples did not believe this as they had heard of hotels deliberately overbooking in Krakow, and the hotel would not allow them sight of the vandalised rooms to prove otherwise. My response is only to say that during our 3 night stay we neither heard nor saw anything untoward and all the people we saw at the hotel were either middle aged or elderly - hardly likely to go about wrecking hotel rooms. Having said the above I must say that Krakow is a wonderful city and well worth a visit and the Atrium is nicely positioned for getting around. Now that we know where to find the hotel we would stay there again, but only if we got a much cheaper roomrate.

Excellent value. Rooms a bit bland (very modern and 'minimalistic'). Staff very helpful and pleasant (kitchen prepared to rustle up a meal for 4 of us at 22:00 - normal restaurant closing time). Great location for access to Cracow - 2 minutes from old town.

The location near the old town was very convenient. We appreciated the cooled water supplied at every floor. God breakfest buffet. Very helpful staff

A very good opportunity if you want to spend a nice weekend in Krakow.
