Hotel Astoria - Krakow

Krakow is an absolutely marvelous city to visit and the hotel was perfectly located for us. Right in the middle of the lively and enchanting old Jewish quarters and a short pleasant walk to the Old Town.

Is a very nice hotel. Very good various breakfast. The last day we have to leave early. They make for us a nice breakfast box.

We arrived early at astoria and they had no trouble of giving us the room, surprised to hear that the movie was made on the street of this hotel and one of the other streets found the astoria and the staff a very good hotel

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Astoria. We arrived about 11 am and were able to go straight to our room which was nice and clean with a good bed, a modern bathroom and large plasma screen tv (we were on the top floor). The hotel is in the old town just a short walk from all the sights. Breakfast was good and reception staff friendly and able to assist with information we required. Would definitely stay here again.

Very nice hotel, friendly and helpful staff, will definately stay at the hotel again. Room was very comfortable, if there is one criticism perhaps the breakfast did not have the choice available compared to other Polish hotels I`ve experienced. Location excellent with good choice of bars & restaurants within a few minutes walk.

Rooms large and spacious. Tv remote had no batteries, and shower clamp didn't hold the sprinkler, but to be fair, we didn't bother telling them. Breakfast excellent, staff very helpful and friendly. Trendy location, lots of very reasonably priced bars & restaurants. No mini bar, hairdryer good. Air con. wouldn't blow warm air but somehow room was nice and warm. Maybe under floor heating. Bed very large & comfortable. No hesitation in returning, very good value for money.

Very comfortable. Good location for sites, eating and tours. Quiet at night as not on a throughroad. Would stay there again, but two negatives. First is no teamaking facilities and hotel blurb actually discourages using electrical appliances in the rooms. Second, the air conditioner could not be lowered sufficiently so we found the room too hot at night. The hotel said there was nothing wrong with it, but I suspect it was due to the common problem nowadays of hotels setting pre-set limits to save electricity/money.

The staff were excellent very helpful. would certainly stay again if visiting krackow, jewish quarter is good place to stay not far from centre and lots of bars and places to eat. bob the taxi was excellent for trips.

Good central location within walking distance to the Main Square, Wawel Castle and public transport. Hotel offers excellent restaurant serving well prepared meals at reasonable prices. We had our dinner in the restaurant 3 times. One tip for visitors hoping to catch the bus to Wielickza Salt Mines just outside Krakow. Be Warned - they MUST get off at the bus stop in Krakowska!! Miss that stop (like we did) and the bus will take you all the way out of the central area and delay your return to the hotel by at least 20 - 30 minutes.

We had a wonderful holiday in Krakow in April. The weather was beautiful and Hotel Astoria was a really good place to stay. The situation was excellent and very near all the major attractions. All the staff were very pleasant and helpful with any queries we had and the breakfast had plenty of choice. We would certainly book the Astoria again and would reccommend it to friends.

I can really recommend this hotel. Everything was very satisfaying.

Very friendly, welcoming staff, all of whom spoke good English. Very helpful with booking trips, taxi etc and giving directions to places of interest. Only downside was that the shower tray filled up with water to 4" deep each time we took a shower, indicating a blockage. We reported this but it wasnt rectified during our stay. Otherwise everything was good value for money and handy location for town centre.

Globaly excellent despite the facts : 1)when arriving to the hotel, a room with noisy air conditioning system has been proposed to us. We have changed of room and everything has been OK. 2)a teenager group has made noise i the evening but not later than 10:00 p.m. We recommend it.

Very good hotel. Food was good and hotel in excellent location, great for a group of people. Only problem i had was the maids would smoke in the corridors and it wold come into your room, not very pleasant.

I was a good place, good quality for the price, and near the city center. I would recommend it for sure.

I couldn't have asked for better service or a better location. The desk staff spoke english, booked several tours for me, gave me directions/recommendations and were helpful and accomodating 24 hours a day. Breakfast offered a lot of selection. The hotel is not fancy or modern but, it's wonderfully authentic, cozy and clean. Also, as a single female traveller, I felt safe. I'd go back.

The employees do not speak good english and are not ready to provide information on city and transportation. the hotel is fine and the surroundings are perfect for nightlife (not for the day during week end)

Great location at reasonable price - if you go to Cracow I recommend to stay in Kazimierz Quarter and not in old town. Pretty nice resto and bar scene, more frequented by local people than by tourists. Astoria is right in the center of Kazimierz and in easy walking distance to old town and wisla river.

The hotel is located in Kazimierz, about 15 minutes of walk away from the "old town", where you can find any sort of enterteinments: restaurants, live jazz and classical music, street artists, shops and so on. In Kazimierz you find a cool and quiet location to restore, and yes it's pretty nice to have a walk in the streets of the quarter. Wide offer of pubs and restaurants here as well.

The hotel was everything you want a hotel to be when you arrive in a new city/country late at night. Friendly staff, spotlessly clean spacious room, nice view (I was at the rear of the hotel overlooking a market square). One of the nicest hotels I've stayed in anywhere. I'll be back :-)

Excellent location for the Jewish Quarter. 15 minutes walk to the old town. Triple room was spacious. No complaints excellent value for money
