It was a pleasure to stay at the Amber Hotel, the rooms, facilities and staff were excellent, even better than expected. All the rooms are newly decorated and the finish is to a high standard. The location is pefect for the old town, a short walking distance from the main sqaure but quite enought during the night not to notice. The hotel staff couldn't have been more helpful and co-operative. While we were there the hotel seemed to have a mixture of European tourist, and as we went mid week, some business people.

A really good hotel, with nice amenities, good breakfast spread, and really friendly and knowledgeable staff. I was there on Christmas and was afraid that there were going to be no restaurants open (which turned out to be untrue), and the front desk did all they could to call around to see who is open. The only down part is the location. It is true that it is only a few minutes away from the Market Square, but it's a few right turns away, so it feels a little disconnected from all the action. Regardless, I highly recommend a stay in Amber Hotel!

Overall a great stay. We had a de luxe double room which was spacious and well equipped. What impressed us was how ambitious the service was. The hotel showed in many ways that they want to fulfill any wish a guest may have. We used the sauna late at night twice, got breakfast in bed, more water any time, all at no extra charge. Maybe a tiny little bit more attention to detail is needed sometimes e.g. when the room service forgot to bring dishes for breakfast etc, but it was really not a problem. We can highly recommend the hotel to anyone who looks for a little extra comfort close to the city at a fair price.

Amber hotel was wonderful. For a 3 star hotel it exceeded our expectations, We stayed for 4 nights and will definitely return. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the staff were welcoming, friendly and always happy to assist. It was a great location, half way between the station/ mall and main square, easy 5-10 minute walk to either.

The Amber Hotel was very convenient and clean, with extremely efficient and friendly staff. The neiighbourhood is safe and quiet. Breakfast is good with plenty of choice. The rooms have limited space, but this is not really a problem for a long weekend

Just spent 3 nights in the Hotel Amber. There were 9 of us in our party and we were all very pleased with the the service provided by the desk staff. We arrived on 14th Feb. A heart shped box of Lindt chocs had been left in each room. Each afternoon, coffee, tea and biscuits were available at reception. The staff booked taxis to meet us at the airport for 180 zloties in total. They also recommended and booked restaurants for us. They also offered to book our tours, but as we had been to Krakow before, we knew that we could negotiate a better deal than the one on offer at the hotel. Room 102 and 202 were larger than the other rooms, although all were very comfortable. The bathrooms are particularly well appointed. The hotel is on a very quiet street which is no more than a 10 minute walk from Old Town Square.C K Brewer is at the end of the next street. We would recommend this for either a drink or a meal. I would book, if you want to go in the evening. We ate, again, in The Batory Restaurant. It is between the Square & the Castle. Although a bit tatty, it is worth a visit for the experience alone! If anything, the portions are too big. One Goulash Soup Starter fed four of us. None of us ever managed a desert. The hotel recommended the Hawelka Restaurant in the Square. Posh dining room & service but, with wine & beer, still no more than £20/head.$ of the men shared the Meat Feast. It would have fed all of us. We visted Auschwitz & the Salt Mines. Auschwitz was particularly grim in the snow. The Salt Mines were amazing. On both visits we had excellent guides. We booked these in a booth next to the Florian Gate. The price is negotiable & is cheaper than prebooking on the internet. However, you have to book a day in advance.

1st visit to Cracow and the Amber hotel was perfect, central withing easy walking distance of train station and city centre. Room was large and comfortable, staff were very helpful - organised us trips to Auschwitz and the Salt Mines - both highly recommended. Breakfast was delicious and came with an info leaflet every day telling us about things to do and the weather report - very useful! The general bar and reception area was relaxed and pleasant with lovely members of staff. For the price and location the hotel is exceptional! Thanks for a great stay.
