Kosta Palace Hotel is built in the center of Kos Town, overlooking the breathtaking harbour with its 13th century medieval castle and the unique view of the many traditional wooden ships anchoring there.
Constructed in 2001 the Hotel is A' category. It consists of 165
Rooms and Two Room Apartments, which are equipped with Air conditioning, Kitchenette, oven, TV, French coffee machine and music.
Its ideal position and luxurious construction make "KOSTA PALACE" one the best Hotel Complexes which crater for both Professional visitors and holidaymakers of the island, since its open 12 months a year. The exquisite view of the harbor and the medieval castle can be appreciated by sitting on your balcony, on the verandah of the lounge or the verandahs of the bar or the roof garden bar or just by having breakfast on the restaurant patio.
In Kosta Palace, our guests can follow the world events on our satellite TV, surf on the Internet, workout in our 300 square meter gym or just relax in its big sauna. the hotel is very close to the harbour at kos and so u can walk to the hotel when u get off the ferries. it is also close to some of the sights near kos. the rooms are clean but crowded. The batrooms are clean. the staff are polite but not warm. breakfast is good.rooms facing the harbour offer a good view of the boats and so my son loved it but it is crowded. at night the harbour looks really nice and we have strolled the area a few times at night. overall not a bad choice. a triple room at 54 euro per night i thought was a tad expensive.

The town of Kos was founded in 366 BC, in the same area where modern Kos nowadays is to be found. It climaxed during the Hellenistic and Roman periods, being a crossroad between civilisations, between East and West, the meeting point for both culture and trade. Its public market was of great fame during the antiquity and still is thriving in our days. When entering the harbour of Kos town the imposing medieval Castle of Neratzia is bound to draw your attention. This castle is connected to the mainland by a bridge that crosses the Palm Tree Avenue, the same one that connects the Castle to the Platanos, the large plane tree under which Hippocrates, the Father of Medicine, used to teach. All around Kos town you can find signs of the past, reminders of the civilisations that passed through its harbour. Numerous buildings, built in imitation of the Italian architecture of the colonies in N. Africa, most typical being the Country Hall. In order to take a taste of the antiquity wonders that Kos has to offer, make a stop at the Archaeological Museum, located at Eleftherias square, exhibiting a wide collection of archaeological treasures, such as the mosaic of Hippocrates, the Hellenistic sculptures of Aphrodite, Eros and one believed to be of Hippocrates himself.
