Thought that being charged extra for coffee after dinner was poor. Choice of beers did not suit me. Dinner on both nights was of the highest quality. The wines I chose were first class.

After arriving at the hotel at lunchtime the staff were very accommodating and allowed us to check in earlier than 3pm. The room we initially stayed in was sloping and the bathroom looked very tired and needed updating. There was a problem with the room and we requested a move, the hotel manager sorted this out and we moved to the station house which was a much nicer and safer room. Thank You very much. The breakfast was very good and the reception staff especially Maya was very helpful when we lost our car key. We will definitely be back, Keswick is absolutely beautiful and the hotel was in the perfect spot. There is a leisure pool right next to the hotel also.

Without being too critical in these bad economic times, this hotel was in need of decoration, in our room the carpet was grubby, Lino in bathroom loose and window frames hadn't been cleaned in a long time. There was obvious heavy dust in base of wardrobe. The heating boiler was above bedroom and was very noisy during the night and on our last morning at 7 am. We had to take cold showers as there was no hot water for a shower or for my husband to shave. The staff were pleasant and helpful and the breakfast was lovely. This hotel definitely needs to improve , too many things wrong in 2 days.

FANTASTIC HOTEL!!Our first visit to this hotel & thrilled with the location (about 8mins walk into Keswick centre,)the beautiful surroundings & staff. The staff are super, especially the Receptionists-extremely helpful & friendly. We were put into a family room in the 'Station' section & though it needs a little refurbishment(they have started this in the main hotel)we were still more than pleased with it. The breakfast was superb-one of the best we've had in the UK (including the Hilton!)-great variety-we will return here even if it's just for the breakfast!! We didn't book evening meal as we like to visit the varioud restaurants, but I'm sure the food would be excellent & the restaurant did appear to be busy. We went there August Bank Holiday weekend 2011 & although it was busy, it didn't appear to be, due to the efficiency & attentiveness of the staff. The only thing I would like is to request is a more comprehensive Rose wine(if ordered by the glass)--for my wife! Without a doubt-we will stay here on our next 'Keswick' visit. Thankyou to all, who made it so special & so relaxing!
