One of the highlights of a visit here remains the sixth-floor roof garden, which offers panoramic views of this amphitheatre-shaped city and the Bay of Kavala. Among the other facilities are 4 fully equipped conference rooms, a business centre, and a gym. High-quality Greek dishes are served in the a la carte restaurant.
The Airotel Galaxy is located by the port, in the centre of Kavala (sometimes spelled Kavalla), within walking distance of Rapsani Beach. Also nearby are the Archaeological Museum of Kavala, a well-preserved aqueduct called the Kamares (Greek for Arches) on Nikotsara Square, and the Folklore Museum of Kavala, housed in the historic Municipal Tobacco Warehouse on Kapnergatis Square. The hotel is 1 km/0.6 mile from the Kavala ferry terminal, which has regular ferry service to Thessaloniki, Samothraki, Lemnos, and other Northern Aegean islands.
