The Kučera Hotel Garni features two different types lodgings: the A category double rooms and the B category double rooms. It was Hostel, not Hotel. It doesn't worth 3star. The room had bad smell. The carpet was spotted, bedding was old, Shower was terrible: old towels, changed after 5 days our stay, horrible WC paper, old equipment...dirty curtains... horrible! There was no internet, no telephone. Reception man was rude with us and other guests. We felt we lived in some village house, but not in the most popular Europe resort! Room was too expencive. I will never come back to this Hostel.

The hotel is extremely very well situated right in the heart of Karlovy Vary. It is located in an old and potentially beautiful building. However, the maintenance of the hotel is poor, and so the rooms are smelly and not so nice, and carpets are old and stained, so in spite of the attentive cleaning, the overall feeling we got was of dirtiness. Breakfast was very decent, and the staff ware very nice and helpful.

How to reach Kučera Hotel Garni
By car
From the Grand Hotel PUPP: take the Slovenská road, then go towards Mariánskolázeňská road and finally turn into Nová Louka road. Once you get to Divadelní Náměstí square turn left and go over the bridge. You will see the Kučera Hotel Garni right in front of you.
From the Thermal Springs: go to the roundabout and then head towards Plzeň. Once you get to the traffic lights turn left where the Becherovka factory is. Go straight, turn left into Západní road and the turn left again into Dr.Janatky road. At the end of this street turn left into Moskevská road and then take the following streets: Krále Jiřího, Petra Velikého, Zámecký Vrch and Stará Louka. You will finally find the Kučera Hotel Garni on the right hand side.
You can enter the Spa zone to check in even though there is no driving traffic signs.
