We spent a weekend at the hotel. In general, the property is well maintained. Still there were some details. First, apparently (as the front desk guy Carlos told me) our room was checked out about 10am (exactly when we arrived), nevertheless we had about six hours (!) wait for our keys as we were told it was not cleaned yet. He behaved himself arrogant insisting that the official check-in time was 4:00pm, so we had to use toilets in the hotel’s public areas to change our clothes. Unfortunately they have no conditioning even, so the experience was not very pleasant. As we understood from the rooms amenities description, they had a wireless Internet connection, unfortunately they definitely had it but for an extra-price of $180 pesos. The room price was OK but meals were overpriced. It is a common practice for Mexican hotels that the personal greets you, not for this hotel. Anything else was pretty nice.

This s a one of a kind resort, not only because it stunning design but also because it isolated location on a private beach, away fro the hub hub of the main hotel strip. My only gripe is with the food which is very expensive and mediocre at best. However, one can easily travel Ziwa for a taxi ride priced similar to a subway ride in NYC where several excellent and reasonable priced restaurants are available.

Great, quiet location away from the crowds but an inexpensive taxi ride to everywhere. This was my second visit and it was just as terrific the second time. Room rates were very reasonable given the environment.

We loved our stay at Las Brisas, it was clean, quiet and very restful. The beach was fabulous and private, with no vendors. We are planning on returning. We stayed on the 15th floor and the view was amazing, rooms on the lower floors (12 and below) have a semi blocked ocean view due to trees and bushes. The property is very lush and spread out, the beach and pool are a bit of a distance, but well worth the walk. We only ate one meal at the hotel and it was OK, we prefer the wide variety of great resturants in Zihua. We spent 1/2 day in Ixtapa and found it totally commercial and lacking any real charm, you may as well be in California or Florida.
