It has been our second time we stayed in this hotel and were very pleased with it again. The staff is very friendly and helpful, the location of the hotel is great - just a minute or two from main attractions of Istanbul. breakfast is good as well.

Overall, really enjoyed our stay here. Our room was quite snug, but my husband and I did not mind. We packed light (one suitcase) and were fine. If you have more luggage you might consider a bigger room than the standard. I sneaked a peak at some of the larger rooms and they were much more spacious and very nice. The room was quite warm during the day, so we slept with the window open which was fine, no bugs (early April). The AM call to prayer was loud though. Supposedly there is AC, but it didn't seem to be working. Location was perfect! Breakfast was nice and could have tea on the terrace upstairs with wonderful views. The staff was helpful and seemed to be accommodating to other guests who had problems. We would definitely stay here again, you really can't beat the location.

Situated perfectly between the blue mosque and Hagia Sophia. If you can bear the muezzin waking you at 6 a.m. :) Very spacious room. Concierge helps with tour and dinner reservations, very much appreciated. All-in-all excellent value for money.

Nice hotel. Since rate was in euros it is not an excellent value for US travelers. Excellent location and very nice terrace and breakfast. Easy access to public transport for seeing city and getting to/from airport. Helpful staff overall.

The surrounding of the location is really nice and agreeabe, rooftop terrace with wonderful views. Negative: We had booked two seperate rooms of the same category (standard double) but unfortunately they had visibly different standards, the one with balcony and large windows and new interior, the other had one very small window facing the backyard and older interior. Both rooms were very small of size but tidy. All in all we can recommend the Uyan Hotel, but the "Quality versus Price" is not the best.

This hotel was easily within walking distance of the major historic sites, and yet it was very quiet when your got just one block away for the tourist hustle and bustle. The complimentary breakfast was varied and tasty. The tram was easily accessible for further sightseeing further abroad. The hotel also has free internet access. We would definitely stay there again, but be aware: the call to morning prayers starts at 5:30 - 6:00 am every morning, and you will hear it since the Blue Mosque is only about 100 meters away. This is only a small reminder that you are visiting a Muslim country.

Stayed in istanbul for 5 days. thought the city was very beautiful. the hotel was in the best position for sightseeing. the cafes around the hotel were fine, if expensive for the type of food they served. the first meal we had was under one of the bridges and was delicious but a total ripoff. to be honest the owner was charming as he ripped us off! we ate at what we thought were modest cafes frequented by locals but they still seemed expensive, for the modest food available.

Perfect location for the main sights of Istanbul like Great Basar or the Hagia Sophia. Great view from the terrace on the roof during the breakfast or later for a drink. But the room we booked was small and noisy due to bad isolation.

The Hotel room was small but we asked for it as it was cheaper. However the room and bathroom were comfortable and clean. The winning point of this Hotel is its location: just perfect for visiting monuments. Beautiful views from the roof top terrace. Breakfast was plentiful and varied. Staff is young and extremely helpful. Excellent value for money. Would definitely recommend it and use it again.

The room 103 was regarded as a deluxe room 145 eur it was like enterring a prison .in front of the windows was a huge wall. very depressing to enter the room. small tv far away from bed. it shoud be by all means a standard room even less. only the bathroom was nice to stay in

We booked a small double room. These rooms are so small they are only suitable for a single person. There was literally no room to pass each other without one of us sitting on the bed. Our first night was in a deluxe room as they told us they had no small doubles available. I suspect this made the contrast all the more apparent. The staff were distant. One had the impression that they would rather have been somewhere else. I would have as well.

The location is excellent – within walking distance to almost everything. The staff was friendly and helpful, offering advice, maps, and arrangements to the airport. Our double room was very clean and quiet. It offered a flat screen TV, a safe (for our passports, etc.), and more. The breakfast buffet was ample with coffee, tea, cereals, eggs, bread, meat, cheese, cakes, and more, which you can eat on the terrace with a GREAT view. They offer a discount if you pay in cash. They except both Euros and Turkish Lira, which is great since we came from Greece with extra Euros in our pocket. I highly recommend this hotel.

My wife and I stayed in a "superior deluxe" room in the Hotel Uyan, Istanbul. The accomodation was exactly as shown on the web pages. The room was comfortable and clean and spacious. The staff were courteous and helpful, and the breakfast provided, on the terrace, was excellent. The location is perfect for anyone interested in visiting the older section of this city. We recommend the Hotel Uyan highly

Overall great value BUT - whereas the hotel website says the airport transfer is included for stays of more than 3 nights, this is NOT the case if one books via Venere.com. Also, the hotel has free internet access via a computer in a public space, but we only discovered this on the next-to-last day by observing another guest; I think they treat Venere guests as 'second class citizens'... But the location is GRETA - just across the street from the Four Seasons.

Overall a clean and friendly hotel with spacious roof terrace. And the location is excellent - on a quiet street and near to the major places of interests. But the single room is very small and only one guest computer is a bit inadequate.

In venere confirmation, transfer from airport to the hotel was offered free of charge, but I dindt get that, so after a telephone discussion from the airport with the hotel reception;I had to take a Taxi by my Own, paid it, and started my Stay with a UNNICE discussion, at the end they told that was a Venere mistake, that they could not soport that expenses, but at the end they make the return transfer to the airport without charge

Wanted a good, solid, three star hotel in close proximity to Blue Mosque and Uyan Hotel fit the bill and then some. Delux room was clean, spacious and quiet - only sound was calls to prayer and live piano music in late afternoon. Uyan is characterized by understated luxury and comfort. Would choose this hotel again.

The hotel was quaint, the staff very courteous and friendly. Enjoyed the fact that it was small, and got to know some of the other visitors. Loved the restaurants in the neighborhood, especially En La Luna, across the street. Had negative experiences in the city, but the restaurant and the hotel made up for the bad with being pleasurable.

Excellent situation, and location at walk distance from all major sites. Very competent and sympathic employees. Beautifull view from breakfast room. Shuttle from airport excellent. One little disgreement, during the first of our four nights there we stayed in a first floor room, the manager accepted very kindly to move us for the tree following nights and made it very easy for us. We will return there and recommand to our friends.

We booked a "small double room" and it really was small. It was more like a single room with an double bed in it. I only wish that we had booked a bigger room but otherwise we were very happy with everything.

Everyone was very friendly and professional. It was my fourth time in Istanbul in the past five months and I think it was the nicest place I stayed. Also, the breakfasts are wonderful. I gained 2 kg in a week! Lovely view, even in the autumn. I'll definitely stay there next time.

When we arrived they did not have available for us the room that we requested and that was confirmed for us. We ended up taking the bridal suite, which was non-smoking, which was wonderful, but it was not what we originally requested. The breakfast was only adequate. The location was fabulous. And we could not have enjoyed our stay more.
