I regret to have to pay 50,00 TL for using twice hammam and sauna. The prices are not indicated ; in France in a Hotel *** or **** sauna and hammam are included ; and if not included, customers are informed.

We stayed in many hotels in Istanbul, I go there almost every month. considering they I really liked Turvan. It is located in an area where street noise does not bother me, and near to the tramway. The staff is very helpful and I appreciate that speak English. Rooms are not luxurious, but very clean. I went to Turvan twice and I'll go again. What impressed me the most was the breakfast. The most divesrificat of all the other hotels where I lived. Thanks to all and for all!

The hotel is conveniently located near a tourist center and transportation hub (ferries, trams, buses). Friendly and welcoming evening administrator. We arrived at 4 am and not to wait in the lobby at check paid for another night. Room we were given the wrong that we booked, but promised it to us and then change it. In this room, there was no windows, televisions, refrigerators, even the cabinet or rack where you could hang clothes. In one corner was a small window in the corridor and we saw people passing feet. Awful smell of tobacco smoke. Change the room to us then forgotten as a result, we lived in it for 2 days. Discounts for us not give. For breakfast, do not update the meals ended. Little room for breakfast. In the morning a lot of people little space and must stand in line to sit at the table. The only plus of this hotel - it is a Hamam. Qualitative and cozy. Recommend. Hotel rates are cheaper if booked through the Internet. Directly - more expensive. And these prices in my opinion does not correspond to the quality of the hotel. With us trying to be hospitable and polite, but remained an unpleasant aftertaste from the hotel.

The rooms are clean and quiet (we never heard the Neighborhood, and the room was on the backyard side). The staff was nice and caring, we felt like at home. The breakfast buffet presented an huge choice!! We enjoyed the hammam, clean and pleasant. Romain & Véronique

Very Nice hotel. Hotel is located in Sirkeci which is the one of oldest parts of Istanbul. Byzantine and Ottoman Historical Monuments are all within easy walking distance; 10 minutes to St.Sophia, The Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace, Grand Bazaar, Basilica Cistern and Cemberlitas Turkish Bath. I will visit this hotel again.

Absence of WI-FI ınternet and safebox is only in a lobby. Absence of WI-FI ınternet and safebox in rooms Has delivered some inconveniences. In whole the small silent hotel, for those looks for quiet rest. A tram stop beside, but up to the basic places of interest it is possible to reach and on foot. It was pleasant to me.

I stayed in 2 different double rooms- one was spacious, but one did not have room for our two suitcases! Neither of the rooms had a shower curtain, and the hotel didn't understand why I was asking for one! The airport shuttle was ridiculously expensive (25 Euro, instead of 10 Euro/25 YTL), and they didn't even come to pick us up! The hotel couldn't find the confirmation! A good location to be for the major tourist spots.

Well located, within a short walk from main points of intrest in the town, with a lot of restaurants around the corner, and for a good price. If you don't care for modest acomodations, it's highly recommended.

Hard to find (but very close to RWS, trams..), small rooms, simple breakfast, free WI-FI internet, historical area. Maybe a little bit expensive for such quality level.

i believe the price really didn't match the service, however, the standard of breakfast was the worst i have ever experienced.... no fruit, no juice, no butter, no milk to mention but a few. the location was excellent but I have booked with venere before and was delighted with the accommodation..... i was very disillusioned on this trip. I believe you should remove from your web page

You cannot expect much in terms of cleanliness and quality of the rooms but quality/price ratio is fine and the location is really a plus: 5 minutes on foot to get to Sultanahmet or to Galatasaray bridge and ferry boarding, 1 minute on foot to get to Sirkeci train station.

If you are a lone traveler or someone who is going to use the hotel to just crash the night during your stay it is fine. It is relatively inexpensive so don't expect great service or awesome rooms. The location is pretty good though. It is walking distance from Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque and the Topkapi Palace. The Grand Bazaar and the Spice Bazaar are also relatively close if you like to get to places on foot. The Tram stop is close by as well, you can get to the other tourist locations quickly and easily.

It was my second visit to the Turvan - the room, service and staff are all great. The location couldn't be better - right at the train and tram and ferries, and just a stroll from the major tourist attractions. I think, for a budget traveller, the Turvan is a very good choice. I will definitely stay there when I return to Istanbul. I miss it already!

Keeping in mind the price - I booked the cheapest, smallest room - I got great value for money; the room was clean, comfy, had towels, soap, cable tv...with very nice, helpful and respectful fellows at the desk (who speak English). I didn't eat brekkie but it looked good. GREAT location, a few minutes' meander down to Emininou docks or up the hill to the Mosques and Bazaar; the tram at Sirkeci is less than 5 min away. Surrounded by good restaurants, a couple small supermarkets very close, fruit and veg shops - couldn't ask for more. The hotel is on a street that's closed to traffic as it's full of restaurant tables - no problem as it's only a 30 second walk to the main road (Muradiye Cad), around the corner. So, I'm headed back there in a few days! As a single female travelling on the cheap but with decent comfort in mind, the Turvan is good value.

The very nice employees, the rooms are good but with problems in baths, the very little and poor breakfast, one day finished jamon, eggs and cheese at 9 a.m. good beds, excelent located but dangerous well at night. the water to drink is not free. I believe that by that price I can obtain something better.I will return because I do not know another one and they treated to me excellent

The art of deception carried to the experience. Worst experience ever. Shabby, tiny room. Hardly any space to open a suitcase. A/c had a fixed freezing temperature and had to be switched off from the mains. Plus the room was odd shaped, so no matter which way the vents were, the freezing air would still come to the head of the bed. Remote did not work. Constant noise of traffic from the streets below. Constant noise of chamber maids banging the linen cupboards and vacuuming the carpets in the halls. No possibility of catching an afternoon nap, and early morning sleep was ruined daily. Room walls were so thin that the noise from other guests banging their cupboards and doors and drawers would hit you in the head. Curtains did not fit. Paint peeling off the walls. Bathroom fit for a midget. Dirty and tiny. Broken faucets. Fungus in corners. The so called ‘fresh’ towels were the same towels turned the other way. Proof was the lipstick on one of them. It remained there the whole time I was unfortunate enough to stay there. They did not even provide any soap, not even toilet paper. I had make purchases to provide myself all this. I even bought a toilet disinfectant, as I could not trust the sanitary conditions. Pathetic breakfast. Cracked eggs and hard dry bread was broken (not cut) & served. Insufficient fruit pieces. No butter. I paid 25 Euros per night. It was not worth even 10 Euros!! In fact, Turvan HOTEL should not even be called a Hotel. It will never reach the standard of a hotel. It is an excuse for a shabby Motel. I would never ever ever go to this Motel again. I would NOT recommend it to anyone. A total WASTE of money. Actually made the whole Istanbul stay regrettable. Also, half the facilities mentioned on the website don’t exist.
