Best value for money, service and location; exceeded my expectations. Good and helpful friends await for you at Romantic Hotel in Istanbul... absolutely recommended and will definitely stay there in my next trip since it's so conveniently located around many must see places to visit, and can get recommendations and help to visit any other place in Turkey.

It's a little peacefull haven with a wonderfull panoramic overview on Bosphore and blue mosque from the terrace. Reservation transfert from the airport to the hotel could better like I had have to recall hotel to pick me up.

This small hotel is a lttle jewel and the man at the front desk, Erdal, is a wonderful source of information. He certainly makes your stay a real pleasure.

Wonderfully located hotel with delightful staff. Rooms are boutique size as indicated but given the price point the location and helpfulness of the staff (especially appreciated as a first time visitor to the city) made for an excellent stay. The hotel has a beautiful terrace overlooking the main tourist attractions where both breakfast and evening drinks can be taken. Highly recommended.

First time to Istanbul, very nice e very glad staied in.

My wife and I waited 6 months after our wedding to go on our honeymoon to time it with the best weather for getting married in California and honeymooning in Europe. We had stayed at 8 other hotels during our one month honeymoon trip and by far Romantic Hotel Istanbul was the best of them all mainly because of the excellent service of the hotel manager, Erdel. He was so friendly and knowledgeable about how to get around in Istanbul. We especially liked that he warned us about which restaurants not to go to because he didn't want us to be swindled during our stay in Istanbul. He even helped us find someone to do our laundry at a reasonable price - hotel service at do-it-yourself prices! We also liked the fact that we were picked up and taken to the airport so it was the least stressful arrival or departure we had during the month long trip. If we ever went back to Istanbul for an anniversary, we would go back and stay at Romantic Hotel.

We had a lovely stay at the Romantic Hotel. Istanbul was a unique and wonderful travel destination. The hotel is located within walking distance to Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque. There are many restaurants within walking distance. The people were friendly but understand people want to sell you items from there stores so you may want to visit with a positive attitude and just say you’re not interested but thank you for your offer. So if someone is really nice for no apparent reason realize there is a hidden agenda and they want you to visit there store to buy a carpet or other items. You can see most of the famous sites in a total of three full days if your in for a short trip you can get a great overview of the city and culture. What ever your needs the Romantic Hotel will be happy to help you.

The Romantic is situated among many many other hotels; they are probably exactly the same. This is a place to sleep, no more no less. The romms are fitted up from my maiden aunt's Regency Argos catalogue. No-one will help you when it comes to getting about. There is NO service apart from breakfast which is a buffet with which you will have to be creative. Do not book any airport transfer with them, get a taxi. We had a great meal at a place called The Armada Hotel not far away. Just up the hill on the left the Bar Sofa (Happy Hour) offers friendly service, good music and a good meal. At the top of the hill in the Bazaar is a cafe where you can enjoy Turkish music, tea and a pipe. Istanbul - a great city.

We went to Istanbul in low season and we were assigned, instead of the normal room, the suite for the first two days and a double room in the followings (which, in their category, are not really large). The hotel location is wonderful and the employers very kind and collaborative.

The rooms are not small - they are tiny. If you got a room at the ground floor , you can here word spoken at the reception.

We had a great time at Romantic hotel. The staff are super helpful and friendly, the room is very nicely decorated, we had a room at the backside which gives a sea view. This is a small boutique hotel that we highly recommend to other travellers. The price / quality relationship is excellent. Very cosy decorated rooms, excellent for couples wanting to spend a good time in town but also wanting to feel good back in the hotel after a long stroll in town. Ask for a room with a view to the back (the sea side) away from the reception and breakfast room if available, then you will enjoy the most. The location of the hotel could hardly be better, a quiet street within a walking zone with plenty restaurants within 1 minute walk, and walking distance to the major sites. Highly recommended!

We and our teenagers really enjoyed our stay at the Romantic Hotel. The staff were unviersally welcoming and helpful, and being a converted house meant that the atmosphere was very much that of a home. The rooms and the bathrooms were spotless - while it is a small hotel with conseqently small rooms, we had everything we wanted - aircon, safe, minibar, even slippers! The views of the Blue Mosque and the sea from the roof terrace were unforgettable, and the location ideal.

Excellent stay - very cordial and helpful staff. Close to the major sites. Check out the fabulous views from the roof garden.

I was delighted with this attractive little hotel in a splendid location in old Istanbul. The room decor, reflecting its origin, as I understand, as a wealthy family house in the Ottoman period, was more to my taste than the relative soullessness of modern-built hotels. The staff were welcoming, friendly and efficient and the two I dealt with at reception spoke excellent English. The breakfast was simple but ample for my purpose and served friendlily in a charming room.

Great location for the old part of the city and the hotel staff, particularly Ilmas the hotel manager were helpful and friendly. Rooms were clean adn comfortable, if a little small and after swapping from the ground floor to the first floor we had a great view of the Bosphorus. Only problem on the first night was noise from late night returning guests because the room was directly behind the reception area. Still once we moved, much quieter. Overall, great little hotel in a lovely location.
