Osmanhan Hotel - Istanbul

Very pleasant stay. Room and bathroom are small but comfortable. Excellent view from the terrace. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Good location in a nice area close to Sultanahmet.

The staff is great , the location is more than excellent (all major attractions are within walking distance from the hotel).

This is a wonderful small hotel. The staff were unbelievably helpful about everything. It was the best, friendliest and helpful service we have ever experienced.

Great location near all the major sights. Friendly staff and an excellent continental breakfast served on the rooftop balcony with beautiful views of the Blue Mosque, the Bosporus and the Princes Islands. Highly recommended

Very nıce new hotel run by very charmıngş helpful people. Great locatıon and a good value for the money. Nıce breakfast selectıon. Room could be bıgger, but that was our only ıssue. A good choıce for Istanbul ın thıs prıce category and area. One other thıng that mıght be an ıssue for some people - there ıs no elevator. People should be aware of that before bookıng.

Had a very good stay here. Friendly, helpful staff and nice room. The hotel is newly refurbished (open since summer 2008) and so the facilities are modern and well appointed. Hotel also very well located for the main tourist sites (5 min walk to Blue Mosque, Aya Sofya, Topkapi palace). The view from the terrace at breakfast is great. There is no evening food/restaurant if you need that (there are loads just round the corner though) and you need to be capable of walking up stairs as there is no lift and there are no ground floor rooms. As long as you are aware of this though it is an excellent place to stay.

Excellent location near main sights and tram station. Taxi rank outside hotel. Many very good restaurants nearby. Very friendly and helpful staff with good English. Lovely roof garden and good breakfasts. The only downside for older guests or families with young children is that there is no lift.

I loved this place. It was so centrally located to many places, all within walking distance. All members of the staff from the front desk to the morning servers at breakfast did an outstanding job. The breakfast was more than adequate with a nice view of the Bosphorus from the upstairs balcony. The room wasn't huge but more than adequate and was very clean.

Great location close to all historical sights, quality restaurants and shopping nearby. Staff very attentive especially Fatih Oser on the front desk. Rooms were comfortable and kept very clean. Breakfast on the roof terrace with views was delightful.

This is a comfortable small hotel, very conveniently located for those who want to visit AyaSofia, the Blue Mosque, the Cistern, and the Grand Bazaar. Very friendly and helpful staff, and a very nice breakfast. Rooms are quite small, but generally comfortable.

Amazing hotel, great location near the sights and plenty of resturants. Extremely clean well run, and good breakfast on lovely roof top terrace. Fatih on reception was extremely friendly and helpfull without being over bearing. Would definetly recommend this hotel.

The Osmanhan Hotel met all our expectations and the staff couldn't do enough for you. The hotel is close to the Blue Mosque and Aya Sofia and within walking distance of the Grand Bazaar. We had no problem covering the Grand Bazaar, Süleymaniye Mosque and the Egyptiam Bazaar on foot - but there is a good tram service just past the Blue Mosque which will take you to these places. The hotel and the area it was in felt very safe and all around were places to eat. The hotel's breakfast terrace is lovely - one morning at breakfast we could actually see dolphins surfacing. Our one piece of advice would be to be firm with traders outside shops (No, I don't want to buy a carpet . . . or a leather jacket!') and watch out if anyone tells you they are collecting foreign coins. Just say you don't have any because inevitably you will end up handing over some Turkish currency for a service (like a shoe shine) you didn't want. The trick is to engage you in conversation so you feel it would be rude to move on. We would recommend the Osmanhan Hotel very highly.

We stayed 7 days in December in Osmanhan hotel and enjoyed the surrondings. All major places (Blue mosque, Haghia Sofia, Bazar) are nearby.
