Orka Royal Hotel (ex Orsep Royal Hotel) - Istanbul

Globally acceptable; To avoid the highest floor, installed AC device seems not adequate during summer period

Orsep Royal Hotel has a good staff, has a good location, but has some problems as well. One elevator do not work permamnently. Do not take royal suite on the top, if they propose you in summer time. Because it is under the very roof, the air climatisation can not overpass the heat. Shareholders of the hotel are said to be from Kazakhstan and have plans to sell the hotel.

Stay of 4 nights The only inconveniant was all the things you have to pay on EXTRA (playing ping pong, sauna or hammam , orange juice for the breakfast ... )

If the door of the room are in real wood, they are not noise-proof at all. You need to pay 10€ to use the sauna and other activities... The surroudings are only works in the street. A lot of new hotels are undder construction.

First of all this hotel is magnificent. It was a little hard to find at first, but I found it after taking the taxi from the train station. The best thing to do is to take the tram from the Airport to downtown Istanbul. The hotel is very modern and the rooms were very nice. My room was big enough for 3 people eventhough I was a single traveler. On the downside you really dont have any view to see from unless your on the roof. The breakfast was average and not much meat selection, but overall enough breads, yougurt, cofee, and tea to get your day started. The hotel is in a quiet area of the city and away from it all at the end of exploring the city.

Nice people and nice hotel. Very convinient for location. Very clean and spacious room.

MY FIRST STAY AT ORSEP ROYAL WAS FANTASTIC.IT WAS AT PERFECT DISTANCE TO EVERYTHING:TOP CAPI,HAGIA SOPHIA,TRAMWAY,FERRIES,ETC.MOREOVER,THE PRICE VIA 'VENERE' WAS NEARLY 40% OFF THE PRICE WE WOULD PAY IF WE BOOKED IT OURSELVES.DON'T MISS THE CHANCE !

According to a 4* hotel the hreakfast buffet offers too to little alternation. No fresh fruit, neskaffee and tea from the automat. Smoking in the breakfirstroom is much disturbing. No smoking area too small, not separated and badly positioned (between Lounge and the smoking area). Nice and well situated, but only for a stop over. We enjoyed the health and wellnes area.

My room was very noisy all the time because of the close airco engines. It was really small and the beyond my window there was a wall two meters away.
