Small, clean hotel with very good central location for all the old city sights. Breakfast on the roof terrace has view of The Bosphorus. Our double room was a bit small, but OK. Staff helped with on-line flight check-in.

location is excellent. Cleanliness is average, the room is very small. Staff doesnt know how to operate a credit card machine. For anyone visiting Medussa Hotel Please dont use your credit card in paying the Hotel bills. I had a very bad exprience with them. My card has been swiped threes times and they keep saying that it was disapproved by the bank where in fact i found out later that it was all deducted to my account.

Good budget hotel, well located at the center of Istanbul. My wife was really fascinated that we could reach most of Istanbul's historical and shopping areas easily on foot. Staff were generally very hospitable and efficient.

The area is safe and it is near the main places. The receptionits desk are very helpful and nice. The room is very small. The bathroom has not a bath nor any protection so it gets floaded each time you have a shower and remains like this for hours.

Clean and affordable hotel in a safe and quiet location within easy walk to Blue Mosque, Hagia Sofia, Grand Bazaar, Topkapi and a tram stop. Simple but fresh breakfast. Street-level restaurant good and inexpensive, with extremely friendly staff. Very kind manager, Deniz Akkoc!

"Meddusa" hotel is the excellent place to stay if you plan to get "budget, but lovely and clean" place. Location is perfect - easy to find from the very first day in Istanbul. Just one block from Aya Sofia and etc. (biggest attactions), 5 min. from tramstation. Actually "Meddusa" is placed in pretty unique location in terms that it is actually in the very historical center, but in the same time is on green quiet boulevard which leads to Grand Bazaar. Staff of "Meddusa" is trully helpful and heartful. They are ready to solve any problem within hotel, to give advice or explanation on local things and routes. The room was cleaned every day, tolwels were changed. The room itself was small, but not too much. Breakfast is served on top floor with terrace, you can observe Bosphorus from there. Food is simple, but all tasty and fresh - eggs, natural yogurt, tomatoes, cheese, fresh bread, olives, tea and coffee. Shortly saying, it was very comfortable to stay there and it made impresstion from Istanbul to lay on very nice base.

L'hôtel est très bien placé entre la place de sultanamet et le grand bazar. Le personnel est très accueillant. Les chambres sont un peu petites, mais plutôt propres. Très bon rapport qualité prix.

The hotel was located close to where we expected, however we were disappointed with the experience at the hotel. We arrived 2 hours later than our scheduled check-in time but were told our room was not yet available. We then left our luggage in the reception area and were asked come back in half an hour, which we did. We were then presented with a double bed room, despite booking a triple room. Once we reminded them that we booked a triple room and that that we would not accept a double, we were asked to wait up in the restaurant while other arrangements were made. We were finally given a twin room (which was less than the triple we asked for, but luckily was sufficient on this occasion). We then discovered that there was no water in our room and another of the guests in the hotel was also saying he was without water when we left our room to head out and about sight-seeing. We came back a few hours later expecting the water to be back on, however this was still not the case. Finally, when we came back to the room again later that night, the water WAS running and we told this was an 'external' issue with the water system outside the hotel (which in their defence, there WERE some workmen outside the hotel digging up the road). Finally, when it came to check-out, the credit card machine did not work meaning I had to run to a nearby cashpoint to withdraw cash - which consequently made me late for my tour which was departing that morning....luckily they waited for us, otherwise our stay at this hotel would have been viewed as a disaster!

This is a good hotel for the money. The staff are very friendly and the location is very close to all the sites. This is a very basic budget hotel that offers good value for money. The rooms are very basic and small. The breakfast is nice and usual Turkish. The staff are all nice and friendly.
