Liberty Hotel - Istanbul

The hotel is quite close to the historical centre (15 min walking), and the path is very safe, even during the night. Unfortunately the hotel (nice reception and public spaces) was under our expectations. Personnel is very keen but under european professional standards. The organisation of the hotel was a little poor (change of room due to booking problems) but staff tried hard to be proactive and gentle. Rooms are not properly clean and bad smelling (bathrooms are very old and bad smell comes all over the hotel's floors). At the end of the day...it doesn't worth the price. Sorry but not reccommended.

Too much noise during all night!

The room was really not so clean. People were quite kind but not so competent. And the most important is that this Hotel has never been repaired and many stuff are really old and damaged especially the bathroom and all equipments...It is in Beyazit area not very safe and quite... Sulthanamet is better.

I stayed there for 2 nights. It's in Laleli, in a side road. The service was good, the breakfast also. The "free internet" is one computer which is quite often occupied, but it works very good. I had a room in the middle of the house with a window to an in-house-wall. In the rooms around me there have been turkish men, talking and smoking half night, the smoke gets into the other rooms under the door. The rumor also. It's a cheap and low-cost accomodation, a bit far from the center, but O.K.

We needed a sheap transfer Hotel between two flights an I asked via Internet for price between 50-100 Euro per night. Liberty Hotel seems to be OK, and I opted Standard Single and Standard Triple at Liberty Hotel for one night. It was a simple Hotel but the employess was very helpful. Negativ was some smell of cigarettsmoke and very noisy outside loadspeekers, but summary we find Liberty Hotel OK.

Excellent location - within walking distance to the shore and Grand Bazaar, 5 minutes to the tram station with trams going to Sultanahmet. Good and friendly service.

The LIBERTY HOTEL really best one hotel especially breakfast very nice and fresh, very clean and very friendly. i was used free enternet, i come frist time to here(istanbul) but they help to me (they were my guide) about everything thanks to all staff.i read all comment before i come to hotel and i was meet to manager said to him!.. why all comment same (water problem)? mr mehmet said to me '' if you look to comment all problem in the may month.. because this month city hall change all water carrier(drainage) again thanks mr mehmet see you next year i next will go to there...

Good hotel

Nice people, great breakfast, maybe need some renewal works

We had a room on the top floor right by the breakfast area so it was very noisey from early ion the morning. The staff were in there watching TV listening to music until late 0300. The room was not like on the website. It was like it was a spare room to be used for staff or emergencies. The rooms on the lower floors were better. There was no water for two of the days we were there so unable to shower and there were powercuts. There were alos no lights on in the hallway. Staff were advised but nothing done. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone

Water not running, nasty dirty shower, dirty walls, broken cabinet doors, dirty fridge that didn't work for months, flooded ceiling with plaster falling off. We had to change the hotel immediately. Very bad experience.

Too much noise !

Very loud during night, other guest very noisy.dirty room and also water problems, pipe braking and wet floor and repair took too long.Personel is very helpful and friendly.Basicly nothing is working right.When pay with Credit card, the phone line does not work..etc.No space in breakfest room because of group travelers completely full.

We have mixed memories of this hotel. First we needed to change the number of nights we planned to stay at Liberty Hotel. The request sent to venere was answered after 5 days! This is definitely not acceptable! In any case, the hotel accepted this change on arrival. We arrived at around 5 in the morning and we could check in and move into the room immediately. that was a great service! Overall the hotel is quite old fashioned and shabby. The bathroom definitely needs some improvement. The breakfast on the other hand was good. Turkish breakfast is very plain and all hotels we visited are serving exactly the same. Liberty Hotel offered some good alternatives, like nice buscuits. The location is not bad but could be better. I would not stay there again and would not recommend it to any friend.
