This "hotel has to be the worst I've ever stayed in on many travels around the world! It is just one room wide, about 10ft, with one room front and back on four floors! The shower/toilet room within each bedroom is very small and cramped, the bed was too hard for my taste but that is a personal thing. Breakfast is very basic but at least the coffee was good which is the only good thing I can say about this "hotel"! Avoid!!!

The room was dirty. When we looked at the window of our room first time, we have found there a pair of old boots(previous guest has forgot it there). Old furniture and linen(it also was dirty). Some furniture was broken. Administrator did not provide any confirmation of payment for the room. When we were checked-out he asked us, had we paid for the room or not. The price was higher then it was shown during booking was made. Very poor breakfast. Good in this hotel is only its location,

Friendly, helpful and humorous front desk staff. Provided helpful advice on restaurants and activities. Clean, well presented room. Windows faced out onto street, but still fairly quiet, we heard more noise from other guests talking in the corridor.

Nice location, very close to the most important touristic attractions (Aya Sofia, Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace, Hippodrome, museums, etc), and wonderful views to the Marmara Sea and Blue Mosque. High quality services of both the receptionists and the lady taking care of the rooms. Very warm and friendly people! I strongly recommend it!

It was what it said on the tin.The rooms were adquate and clean. Cleaning was done everyday, and clean bed linen regularly supplied. The location was superb and within easy walking distances of the various major istanbul highlights.Staff were very helpful and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We had a room on the first floor at the back and although there was no interesting view, it didn't bother us at all as we were out and about all day.The breakfast was typical turkish as you would expect, there was enough of it too. The only slight critisme I have if you stayed as we did for a week or more , there could have been a little bit more variety in the breakfast menu, but if you didn't want to eat the same brekkie everyday , go some where else plenty of choice on the same street!!. It didn't actually bother us that much.I would definetely stay here again and would like to thank the staff for their hospitality.

Basement room was the only one available on booking but it was really small, stuffy and noisy. Asked to change after first night and manager was very helpful in making an upstairs room available. For an extra 5 euros per night it was 200% better than the basement - larger, fresher and with 2 windows opening onto the rear courtyard. A simple breakfast was provided on the roof terrace (super view) and was just enough to get us started for the day. Hotel is in a street full of decent eating places and only 5mins walk from Blue Mosque. Would def recommend this hotel for a budget option, but don't take the basement room!

Very nice hotel: the hotel is small and also the rooms are small, but it was enough clean, may be only the bathroom was too small. It is in a very nice position, for both visiting the city center and for some nightlife. The hotel people are pretty nice even if not always informed for touristic information. Only wrong note: the breakfast is not so big, just something for fast morning hunger, but could be better.

I guess I had the best room in the hotel (the quite one with the view), that's why the comments are quite good. But compare to the price, the other rooms are far to expensive. Cleaning: the first day, the cleaning equipe was ill, so no cleaning. But the days after: excellent. The stairs are more than adventourous. You should write this on your website.

The staff is WONDERFUL!!!!!! Also the people working in the surroundings. If you want to meet superfriendly people and to make new friendships, you HAVE to stay in Ida Hotel. The receptionist is just amazing and tries his best to make you feel comfortable. And dont dare to think that he or one of the others working in this area will not invite you for at least one cup of tea :)

It was our first visit to Istanbul and we enjoyed it a lot. Ida Hotel is tiny but the rooms are clean and comfortable and its location is great (5 min to blue mosque and St. Sophia). The staff (both the reception guy and the breakfast lady) is wonderful, they are friendly and helpful and make you feel at home. We recommend this hotel to everybody and will return for sure.

The hotel was very ok. The only problem is that the parking place is missing (the area is very crowded). You have to park your car in a private parking, far from hotel, and to bargain with the owner of the parking about the price and the price is not small at all. You feel like your money are stolen.

This hotel is in a great location just down the hill from the Hagia Sophia and Blue Mosque; there are plenty of restaurants in the street as well. I loved having breakfast on the roof terrace overlooking Istanbul. My only problem with the hotel was with my room being on the same floor as the reception which made it very noisy - I could hear everything that went on at reception, including guests arriving at 3am and knocking loudly for 5 minutes!

My main dissappointment was in the room size and facilities. The room we had was very small in contrast to what the venere website suggested. In my view this property should be a youth hostel, certainly not a hotel that would accommodate couples or families as there is absolutly no space whatsoever to move around the room or the shower facility. The two staff members we met during our stay were realy nice, but the place was too small and not worth 45 euros a night in my opinion.

We stayed in room 102, which is assigned in the site as groud floor and is actually sort of underground. The description said all rroms with aircon, hairdryer, slipers. Our room did not have any of those. Since it was mid june, it wa OK, but I bet in hot summer the room will be unbearable. Staff is really nice. breakfast is like any other hostel in turkey - average to poor. The rooms were cleaned every day, but clean sheets, towels and soap are provided only when laundry service comes. In the 4 days we stayed there, we had new soaps in 2 and nes towels and sheets in 3. There is no elevator and you have to climb 4 floors to get your breakfast at the terrace. Location is perfec. 2 blocks from Aya Sophia and Blue Mosque

The hotel has a spectacular location, practically 10 mins away (walking) from the most important attractions of Istanbul, Very friendly staff, especially Shaaban who's been incredibly friendly, helpful and always there. The hotel is definitely a great value for money. Just try to stay away from the basement rooms.

Ida Hotels location is very good, near the Blue Mosque, so everything is available on foot. The hotel is small, but friendly, we like it. The room was a little too small, but clean, enought quiet, and there is nice furniture. I can offer this hotel mainly to couples.

Ida Hotel provides immaculately clean rooms and excellent service for a very reasonable price given its location in the heart of Sultanahmet. Ask for a room in the back for more quiet. I would recommend this hotel to anyone (except those who need an elevator and swimming pool!) I wish there were hotels like the Ida in every city.

The hotel is in an exceptionally central location, literally one minute walk from the Blue Mosque and Aya Sofia. The staff is smart and helpful. The rooms are not that large, but very clean, tidy and comfortable. Having breakfast on the roof watching the Blue Mosque and the Bosporus is the best way to start your day in Istanbul. Thumbs up!!!

I was in this little low budget hotel with my partner and a couple of friends for three notti.Il guy who runs it is friendly and very willing to meet the demands that do. The rooms (we have taken two double bedrooms ground floor which would be in the basement with no view) are small, have an equally small bathroom with shower. The hotel, recently opened, offers rooms with a view to upper floors at a price slightly more alto.La cleaning leaves them a little 'to be desired but I think it is standard in this type of accommodation to Istanbul.La breakfast, served on a terrace from which you see the golden horn and the Blue Mosque, is good and the lady who serves is nice and always ready to rifarti tea or bring other things to eat. The location is excellent! The hotel is located a few steps from the Blue Mosque from Hagia Sophia and the Basilica cistern, and is close to topkapi and large bazaar ... practically the historic Istanbul on hand! addition is on that Akbiyik Caddesi is the path where you will find most of the hostels and the evening comes alive for young travelers and backpackers who flock to the bar and drink beer in large quantities ... then up to one around (even less) you hear a little 'noise. The hotel in my opinion is more suitable for a young adult and informal, not to the disabled because it has no elevator and the staircase leading to the terrace is steep and winding. The relationship between quality and price, we booked a room through VENERE and through the website of the hotel and we paid 17 euro 50 per person, it's really good. I hope that the hotel Ida can survive in the landscape of the myriad of Sultanahmet hostel because the staff that runs it (the guy at the reception and the lunch lady) does everything to make you feel at your ease!

There was some confusion about the room we reserved. On the reservation we were told it was on ground level but when we arrived, we were put in the basement. This was quickly resolved, however, by the wonderful man working at the front desk.

The Ida Hotel is all about location and value. You are, literally, right in the thick of it (you can see the Blue Mosque from the roof)- and for the price (with a private bath!) it can't be beat. The rooms are quiet small - but the point of visiting Istanbul is not to stay in your room. The "in-process" rooftop breakfast area affords a view well worth the price of admission and the food was simple and perfect for the atmosphere. The staff holds the reins with a loose and competent friendliness that is characteristic of the city - and just enjoyable to be around. My one "complaint" is that the hotel was noisy with significant sound from both within and out - but this did not keep me from a sound nights sleep as the town offers plenty of amusements to get one in a state to sleep through most anything. Come in the state of mind to see one of the most interesting cities in the world - and spend the money that you save at the Hotel Ida experiencing all the sites and sounds it has to offer. We were not disappointed.
