the hotel double-charged us/"problem with credit card machine"!. we had to get refund from credit card company. they also served us a very poor dinner @ high price for what we got. otherwise fine (we got the hotel @ a good rate but they seemed to try to get the full one & more by high charging)

Excellent location, close to the main sites. Small hotel, friendly helpful staff. Good coffee and bread rolls for breakfast, but not much else. Stunning view from dining room. Hot water not always available in our third floor room, seemed to have to wait until others (below?) were finished showering. Water was cooler the later you showered.

Hotel location in Sultanahmet is excellent but the rooms adjacent to street are very noisy. A "double room" was small, the "double" bed tiny and the bathroom, although renovated, had a unpleasant smell. Morning breakfast on the covered roof terrace was very good.

This was a great place to stay - right in the heart of historic Istanbul, within easy waking distance of the most important sites. The staff was friendly and extremely helpful. I would not hesitate to stay here again.
