Hotel The Marmara Pera - Istanbul

Stayed 2 nights Sept.This hotel is way over priced. The rooms are very small and the on-suite ,it had most things a person would need but unfortunatly it is extremly small. All rooms the same unless a suite is booked. It is situated someway from Taxim Square. I will not be recommending this hotel

We had a huge dissapointment when we saw the 'swimming pool '.It was smallest one ı ve ever seen.It s just a symbolic swimming pool which can be used for terrace bar decoration. Although I had chosen and paid for a hotel with swimming pool I couldn t use it!

Cigarette burned & dirty sheets. Bathtub tap broken. The pool is suitable only for kids. 50 cm depth

The only negative point is the breakfast service at the restaurant. It should be improved. The whole ting is a bit disorganized.

A bit overpriced for the actual room, but good service and a very good location just one block from Istiklal Caddesi, near the southwest end away from Taksim Square.

The public areas are nicely arranged but very small. The rooms were a real flop. No Bosphorus rooms with a desk and one person wardrobe without a door. I left my cloths in my suitcase on the ground. Minimal furniture. Small bathroom.I requested to see a cityview room, there was a 2 door wardrobe but standing at the washtable, you can't close the bathroom door. The pool is about 10 m2 and on the roof, very windy. It is lonely. The pool bar is closed. No way to get a light lunch at the pool as they described. After 5pm you cannot access anymore. I asked an irondboard and received a completely broken board and iron. The iron had no steamsystem anymore the temperature knob didn't work and it has holes through which you saw the electric wires. Completely crazy and dangerous. We left 2 days earlier for another hotel as my husband being out for business all day I definitely didn't want to stay in the hotel alone. It is ok for the business traveler alone, who just needs a bed. I will never go back !
