Hotel Seres - Istanbul

The hotel is very close to Sirkeci T1 tram stop, easy walking distance to St Sophia & Sultanahmet. Plenty of small shops and restaurants in the neighbourhood. Staying at the top floor, we could hardly hear the traffic, even with the windows facing the street. Partial view of Bosphorus was a bonus :)

I stayed 6 days and enjoyed Istanbul. Staff is very accomodating and made calls to set up evening events for me. All major sightseeing venues are ver close. I had a single room and I thought it very small - I am use to large rooms. It was suffieceint and the breakfast in the morning had everything one needs to start the day.

We are quite pleased at the quality of service the Hotel Seres provided us. The price is fair. The breakfast provided (included)is quite a variety and conforms to anyone's diet. The rooms (not the suites) are a bit tiny. Airconditining not working very well.

While traveling with my daughter-in-law and grandson to Istanbul, we stayed at the Seres Hotel and found it be decent. Our room was small and cramped on the 2nd floor on the street side, the a/c didn't work during the day and our minibar refrigerator was warm. The elevators were both down for 1 full day and one of them was down for 3 days. There were much nicer and bigger rooms, but we were told the room we booked through Venere was what we got. The restaurant staff spoke very little English, resulting in several mix ups with our food orders. The food was decent, but not great. The hotel is in a good location, within walking distance of all attractions in the Sultanahmet area and the Bosphorus. We felt very safe in the area and were treated very well. Istanbul is a beautiful and friendly city and we will definitely return someday.

Excellent choice, good location, clean rooms but small.

The location is superb, because you can walk everywhere, have a meal, take a stroll. Our room was much more basic than the ones on the websites. The hotel should include a picture of the standard room too, to avoid deception (the only one we had!) on arrival, apart from that everything was really o.k. and perfect. I would certainly recommend this hotel to everyone. Fun are the albatrosses begging for food just next to the breakfastwindows, like dogs would. Quite an extra show for animallovers such as we are. The staff is very friendly and professional.

Wir übernachteten 6 Tage im Hotel Seres. Die Zimmer zur Straßenseite sind zwar etwas größer, aber wegen der vorbeifahrenden Straßenbahn ist es dort recht laut. Wir hatten ein Zimmer zum Innenhof. Dort war es herrlich ruhig und man konnte ausgezeichnet schlafen. Das Frühstück war sehr vielfältig und gut. Die Aussicht vom Frühstücksraum/Restaurant in der 8. Etage auf den Bosporus und das Goldene Horn war traumhaft. So fing der Tag Bestens an. Die Hauptsehenswürdigkeiten (Topkapi Palast, Hagia Sophia, Blaue Moschee) und die Schiffsanlegestelle Eminönü sind in ein paar Minuten zu Fuß zu erreichen. Die Anbildung mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln ist optimal. Vom Atatürk Flughafen mit Hafif Metro bis Station Zeytinburnu und dann weiter mit der Tram Linie 38 (hält genau vor der Metro Station) bis zur Station Gülhane. Fahrzeit ca. 45 Minuten. Von der Haltestelle Gülhane bis zum Hotel 2 Minuten zu Fuß. Sehr freundliches Personal. Am Empfang wird zumindest von einen Mitarbeiter perfekt Deutsch gesprochen.

This is one of the self quoted 4 stars hotels in the area ; to be honnest, nothing special. Breakfast could be better, rooms are small.

I'm still stunned when i think about how cheap this hotel was. The location couldn't be better; close to trainstops and in the middle of the cultural area. Very cosy feeling at night with many restaurants and bars. I would definately stay at Seres again!! However, I don't think I'd choose Seres if I was travelling with children since the train runs just outside the hotel entrence. Even if the train drives slowly there were several occations where people didn't take notice of the approaching train.

We had a very pleasant stay!We got an upgrade and we were accommodated in a deluxe room.Deluxe rooms are only four, on the top floor(701-704).They are larger,have a nice furniture,wash tub and a wonderful view.Ours overlooked directly onto the Bosphorus!!!The position is very convenient and the Reception staff is very kind and helpful.Excellent relationship price|quality.We highly reccomend the Seres!If you like panoramic rooms ask for a deluxe on the 7th floor!

Excelent hotel with an excelent location. Only a few blows from the Topkapi and on the way of the metro. The price is very affordable with services of higt quality. I'd would like to emphasize the kindness of the staff of the hote. I highly recomend Seres Hotel.
