Hotel Legacy Ottoman - Istanbul

Wait to check the reservation on Venere.com more than 30min for welcome. On departure wait for my car more than 30 min. That is not a 5 star service.

There was a lot of mold in the shower. Not enough toilet paper. And, I had to clean the toilet myslef upon arrival. We did have a great view though.

The dealing with customer was quite nomal rather than the criticism here, except one bell boy who did not go back until receiving some tip from us.

I went to Istanbul 3 times in 6 months. I booked this hotel 2 times and all was really wonderfull: quality-priece-surroundings and room. The only one bad thing is the service in the reception: if you need an help they pretend to forget it (i asked 2 days a marriage room and they leaved me in a double room). In any case i really think its the best hotel for quality-priece-surrounding-room in Istanbul and i advise it everybody.

Employees at reception very unhelpfull and badly trained. Concierge without knowledge of the city. Unable to recommend places. Poor entertainment in the hotel.

Was very difficult to find any accomodation due to amount conferences held at the time. hotel looks very impressive though staff are really out of their depth. rooms were clean and quit. area is a good base between old city in sultanahmet and nightlife in Taksim / Beyoglu . Surrounding neighbourhood is deathly quiet at night time. though cab fare into the city is only 7 lira. proximity to spice bazaar may make up for this during the day.

We stayed there 2 different times (at the beginning and end of our trip to Turkey). The location was great. Near a tram stop and a short distance to every thing the tourist wants to see. Between the Spice Market, Galata Bridge & the Sirkeci Train Station (end of the Orient Express). Good places to eat near by. Rooms were spacious, clean & nice. A decent buffet breakfast w/an egg/omelette chef. They kept some of our luggage while we traveled in Turkey. Other than one minor encounter w/1 bellboy the staff were efficient and helpful. We would definitely stay there again.

This hotel was a large, older, well maintained lodging within a very historical neighborhood. Great location to many historical sites. Breakfast was more than adequate. All staff were helpful and courteous. The oly problem was that because the name had recently changed the cab driver didn't know it at first and had to ask another driver. They need to get the "new name" out to the drivers on maps.

It is located in the best area of Istanbul, priece is good, my room was wonderfull clean and large, the employees are kind but they dont help much your questions (i asked an help for looking for rent motocicle but they didnt), 200 mt. from the train (easy and fast for going everywhere), the continental breackfast is good, if i should come back Istanbul i sure come back there.

Les chambres sont propres et spacieuses, mais la rue est bruyante. le personnel est amical...Mais l'hôtel est un palace kitsch et un peu toc... Et puis ce sont les petits détails qui font d'un hôtel, un grand hôtel...Or tous les petits détails de cet hôtel sont galvaudés

The swimming pool is inside but very COLD !!!!

The hotel says it has WiFi in the rooms, but it doesn't. They provide network cables, but their connection didn't work. The senior technician was not available, the junior one was lost when he realised that I was using a Mac. This might have once been a very good hotel. It is still charming, not overpriced, location is good. If you are in Istanbul for tourism, go for it. If it is for business, rather not. Also, taxis have troubles accessing the place. The small streets around the hotel are often stuck with traffic.

The hotel has a great location near the Galata bridge and in the walking direction of the main sites of the old town. But the rooms were very small. We can't use the wardrobe in twin room (because they devided the double bed and moved the second bed to the wardrobe). In the other room that we ordered as triple, they simply placed the additional bed (a small one) to the double room that was a bit larger than the first room. And again it was too little place there. The bathroom was not new and didn't impressed us at all.

Nobody knows the new name of the Hotel and nowhere it is written. So it was hard to find the hotel by taxi.

This hotel is a Turkish 5 star, which makes it a 4 star at best for the rest of the world! Spa was nice, had a great massage, tiny pool though (and icy cold). Room fine, atrium rooms would be very gloomy: atrium itself is quite impressive. Area around hotel is dead in the evening, but otherwise good location for reaching rest of Istanbul.
