Hotel Hippodrome - Istanbul

Extremely comfortable to explore the ancient part of the city, even if not very easy to reach driving a car (but not impossible). It would be nice if the hotel could furnish detailed information to reach the hotel by car; on the contrary even e-mailing before arriving they weren't able to give useful details and we had to rely on the map in our guidebook. Breakfast and turkish bath organized in the adjacent best western are quite pleasant.

La stanza che hanno dato a noi era al piano terra vicino alla receprion, quindi si sentivano un po' di rumori dalla strada e dalla reception, ma tanto non siamo praticamente mai rimasti in albergo se non per dormire e cambiarci. La camera era veramente piccolissima ma calda, pulita e ben tenuta. La colazione si faceva a qualche passo dall'albergo, in una magnifica terrazza con vista Bosforo, presso l'Hotel Obelisk (che da quanto abbiamo capito dev'essere della stessa gestione). La posizione è strategica: si è a pochi passi dalla Moschea Blu e Santa Sofia oltre che dall'Arasta Bazar. Vicino passano tram e vari mezzi di trasporto. Noi ci abbiamo trascorso i giorni a cavallo di capodanno e siamo stati benissimo. Rapporto qualità-prezzo, secondo noi, ottimo (anche considerando il periodo di alta affluenza, la posizione e lo stato della struttura): 45 Euro a camera per notte colazione a buffet compresa. Per chi ci andrà, buon soggiorno!

The hotel is within walking distance to Blue mosque, Hagiasofya, Topkapi, Museum of Art, Archeology site and Hop-on & Hop-off Bus stand. It situated in a quiet old street so no hassle with the traffic. Easyl to dine and to shop as well.

We had a last minute change in our itinerary and need a room right away, including transportation from the airport. The hotel was prompt in its response to our need and made the necessary arrangement. We stayed at the Annex several steps away from the main hotel. There was always someone manning the entrance. The hotel staff was very friendly and always willing to help. I also had a deal where free transportation was provided to Ataturk airport. Good deal.

We didn't stay in renewed hotel how we had reserved for the photos on your web-site but in a older dependence and the breakfast was in near hotel

It`s a small family apartment with good breakfest. Splendid location (between St. Sofia and Blue Mosque), near undegraund cistern. But local maps very specific.

I had a very enjoyable stay in Hotel Hippodrome in mid October. The location was excellent, 5 minutes walk from The Blue Mosque and Aya Sophia. The area was lovely, nice cafes and restaurants. The hotel was very quiet, the rooms very clean, with fresh towels supplied on a daily basis. The only snag, which was minor, was having to leave the hotel every morning to have breakfast in a sister hotel, 2 minutes walk away-unfortunately it rained for the duration of our stay in Istanbul so this short walk was a wet awakening!!
