Very helpful, professional and welcoming staff. Perfect location in Old City - less than 10 minutes’ walk to all key sights. Clean, quiet and nicely decorated rooms, very comfortable bed. Pleasant roof terrace with the view of the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Sea of Marmara. Very quiet place although situated on the noisy street with restaurants and shops. Excellent breakfast. Highly recommended. Great place to stay to explore the Istanbul.

I would like to offer an explanation of where your have scored less than 8: 1. Welcoming: Our welcoming was fine, except that our room was NOT AVAILABLE for one night and we were placed in a TINY ROOM that does not qualify as a hotel room. 2. The whole area is NOT QUIET with street noises into the night and early in the morning - can it be helped? 3.Spaciousness: Our room was adequate, however I noticed that some other rooms in the same class were larger with wider beds and larger bathrooms. Maybe I should've been charged with a lower rate? 4. Hotel surroundings are not exactly pristine, but I knew that it was the old city, so no surprises there. 5. Prices - see item 3 above. 6. We all know that photographs are touched up and 'doctored' to make things look better, larger, etc. I would say the reality was close to about 70% compared to the photos. The hotel staff were very friendly and we were happy with our stay.

This hotel has the perfect location for seeing the main tourist sites of historic Istanbul. The Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace are less than a 10 minute walk away. Restaurants and shops line the street above. The hotel itself had wonderfully comfortable beds, historic decor, and an extensive breakfast buffet. The staff were very helpful in arranging transport to the airport and a special restaurant near the fisherman's wharf. The only negative was that the muezzins of the mosques woke us up at 5:00 am and the late night revelers were too readily heard from our street front room. Overall, though, Darussaade Hotel was a great place to stay.

It was our first visit to Istanbul. I have to say that we really enjoyed our trip mostly thanks to the hotel Darussaade Istanbul - Special Class and its professional, kind and patient stuff. The staff as a whole was amazing, tending to our every need and answering all questions with pleasure and the best information. We felt right at home and would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Istanbul and staying in Sultanahmet.

The staff could not have been more accommodating. My husband was taken ill prior to our check in, and we needed a different room; one on a lower floor so that he wouldn't have to climb stairs- this was taken care of with a smile. The bed was very comfortable and the bedding was luxurious. The breakfast buffet was terrific, and included omelets to order, fresh-baked cookies and cake, home-made jams and super coffee. The location is excellent because it is within walking distance to the Blue Mosque, restaurants, etc.

best stay in istanbul ever! pretty hotel, clean, comfortable! Staff are polite and helpful. As i travel alone, most hotels charge same room price as double. But Darussaade no,unbeatable! House is historic so the sound proof isn't good, but people stay here care about others so in general it's quiet. i will definitely stay again! Love this place!

The staff were great, especially Attila at reception. Nothing was too much trouble and everyone was very friendly. Great location in the Old City for seeing the main tourist attractions - 5 min walk to Blue Mosque. Also a brief walk to all the buzzy local restaurants. Only drawback was construction noise next store. Street is also noisy but stops about 11-12 pm. Highly recommend this cozy little hotel to anyone.

A little tricky to find, but the hotel is in the heart of the old city and close to some great bars and restaurants. Only 5 minutes walk to the Blue Mosque and trams. The staff at this hotel could not have been more helpful, it was my birthday and they recommended restaurants and made reservations, provided fresh milk and plates for tea and birthday cake and I was even given a present by the manager. Infact the staff were so lovely we gave them the leftover birthday cake! Rooms are noisy at prayer times of course, but then everywhere would be! Bedroom and bathroom were a great standard, nice views towards the river. Room was quite light in the morning, if you're a light sleeper. Breakfast was fabulous, both hot and cold on offer and the pastries were to die for. We've recommended to several friends since returning, both old and young!

Great Hotel to stay in and the perfect location, just off the main tourist drag but close enmough to everything to be able to walk. Breakfast was a treat for the eyes & the stomach so you had to try and pace yourself with dinner the night before to really enjoy it. We got upgraded to a delux room at no extra cost which wa an added treat. Overall, excellent.

Excellent hotel. Venere price was EXTREMELY competitive. We got the De-Luxe room, which is larger than the regular room. The price we paid was almost 45% lower than the official hotel rate. The staff at the hotel went out of his way to make the stay pleasant, very helpful information about the attractions and activities in the area. The breakfast quality, variety and service was also excellent. Free wireless internet, and if you do not have a notebook, the hotel will provide you with one for free. Highly recommended ! ! !

A lovely little hotel. The room was tiny, but the facilities were very good, the staff were welcoming, the breakfast excellent, and the location perfect - hardly any distance from the key sites.

We used the room at the top, which was like an attic. Maybe that explains the small size of the room, and maybe that also explains the wonderful view from the room: a few minarets of the Blue Mosque on the one side, and a view of the Sea of Marmara on the other side. The hotel staff was friendly and most were English-speaking too. The rooms, as well as the rest of the hotel, were very neat and clean. The surroundings were not top-class, but I guess that is to be expected in Sultanahmet area. I haven't seen the other hotels, so I am unable to compare the surroundings and room-size with other comparable hotels. On the whole, the stay was pleasant and it was value for money.

What a wonderful place to stay while in Istanbul. Great rooms, fantastic helpful staff and very close to all tourist sites. The only issue we had was that when we booked on the internet including our 2 children (9 and 11) the hotel tried to charge us more for the children. The internet booking made us believe the internet price was inclusive. Anyway we sorted it out reasonably and had a wonderful stay.
