Hotel Avicenna - Istanbul

300 meters from the main historical objects. Professional and customer oriented staff. Breakfast could be better - omelet and fresh juice for additional price. In general hotel is a very nice place to stay for sightseeing.

Nice people, but seemed to want to market services somewhat aggressivly.

Our rooms were not available for the first two nights of our visit, and the Avicenna staff arranged accommodation at the nearby Semungen Hotel (lower standard but at the same price as the rooms we booked at the Avicenna). Our stay at the Avicenna for the remaining four nights was very pleasant. Avicenna's location, service -and breakfast - were excellent.

AN excellent choice for city wanderers. Excellent ratings should go to the personnel, both competent and willing to help (even though they've got their favorite addresses). Room impeccably clean and no surprise on the size if you've read guests comments. Flexible services (early breakfast, free airport transfer from 3 nights), free internet, nice breakfasts, and of course an excellent location next to many major sites and to transportation. OK the muezzin sings at 5 AM, but he does so throughout Istanbul and what's the point of coming here if it's like home ? We highly recommend.

Avicenna is a nice Hotel. Rooms are small, but clean and confortable. Staff is very friendly and efficient. Great position.

Qite some noise from the trains.

The hotel is very well located, just one minute from everything worth to see. The breakfast is very good, actually the best we found in our trip. At the reception you will also find a quite guy with big head, he is a good guy but doen't speak too much. We call him BOMBOLONE...italian nickname. The room is a little too small, but we didn't spend too much time in it since we were always out. I believe it is, overall, a good hotel. Albergo è ben situato, a pochi minuti dai monumenti più importanti.

This hotel is really excellent. Very well situated in heart of sultanhamet but far from traffic and noise. Very nice restaurant with good food and a wonderfull view on the Marmara sea. Staff helpful and friendly.

This hotel was fine but nothing special - I wouldn't object to staying there again but wouldn't go out of my way to do so. Location was great except that the hotel is a bit close to the train tracks!

Super hotel, super staff, perfect location - so good we went back the following week. I would recommend the Avicenna to anyone who wants to see the sights of historic Istanbul.
